#Dawes Nature Preserve, Ohio, United States

As someone who was born and raised in Ohio, we absolutely do not need an Ohio reserve in COTW. The only potential new species would be Squirrels, a few types of birds that aren't very interesting, and a few other small game animals that could easily be added to existing maps instead. The landscape is not that interesting either, it would basically just be a flatter version of New England Mountains. Not to mention that we already have Whitetail Deer on so many other maps, and having them be the main big game animal on yet another map would definitely make some people roll their eyes (for good reasons).
Even just considering potential North American maps, I can think of at least a dozen other locations on this continent that would be far more interesting in COTW. I'd prefer a new map that's pretty much anywhere else tbh.
We have a million maps in North America already. The next one should be somewhere more Intresting
We have a bunch US maps and Red deer maps. We need some Canada Elk maps with some new species. We have zero Canada maps.
There isn’t much you could add with a reserve like this.
I will say I understand you not wanting another US map at this time. I just think Canada maps shouldn't be thrown into that category
dude most of the maps are in north america already, theres literally the rest of the planet to explore
I know I've already said this many times but still, CotW is based on recreating realistic hunting scenarios with different ecoregions on each map, where each tree and plant is a recreation of a species in real life...
So; What sufficiently distinct ecoregions does Ohio have compared to the other NA maps? Are they different enough to make it worth designing a new map with the same animals that already exist?
(I'm not talking about mountains, landscapes or rivers)
Just looking at what happened with New England Mountain already says it all, even though it is a completely ecoregion and landscape, people still complained about not having new animals...
I agree we need to explore other areas also. We need some Canada maps also. We need a map to add several grouse Species and ducks for back filling to make the other maps better. We need Canada maps to finish the NA sheep Grand Slam also. We also need more Elk in the game. I'm stuck on one map hunting Elk while Red deer and fallow is on a bunch of maps.
So we need another Canadian Arctic, Colombian mountains or rockies map
Multiple Africa maps like Tanzania and Namibia to name a few
And Caucasus and Mongolia or Kazakhstan
Personally, I Think This Is An Awful Idea. I’m From Idaho, And I’d Love To See Idaho As A Map, But It Would Be A Terrible Idea Because Any New Species Could Simply Go On SRP, Yukon, Or Layton. Same Thing Here, Any And All New Species Could Simply Go On Mississippi Acres Or New England.
Ohio would basically just be a flatter version of New England Mountains. No need for it in the game imo and I wouldn't be very excited if it were added to COTW. I say that as someone who is from the Buckeye state myself. It would bring barely anything new to the table. I would maybe support its addition if we didn't already have so many US maps. As the game stands currently though, I think it would be nearly identical to existing maps, and I think each reserve needs to be at least somewhat distinct from the others.
plus ohio doesnt even exist so this is a fictional place
We Already Have The Rockies And The Cascades (Or Columbians).
must have not read everything else that was listed
I Did, And I Agreed That We Need Central Asia, The Caucasus, And Eventually Africa 2.0, But I’m Just Saying That We Already Have Both A Cascades And Rockies Map.
Layton is way different than north BC tho but i get your point
