SEASONS! It would Go from Summer to Fall (I’d love to see winter as well but meh) there’s 4 possible new great ones! Wapiti,Wild Boar,Roe Deer,Red Fox,The Steppe Eagle would be modeled in,like the Layton Gulls and Bald Eagles.

#

Ah,everyone’s favorite part of updates…reworks
•Elk
•Wild Boar
•Roe Deer
•Musk Deer
•Coyote (Remodel)

#

•Gray Wolf
Elk would be made much taller, longer and more antler varieties and Wild Boar would get Trusize,TruTusk,Overall fur update while Roe Deer while Under the Name Siberian Roe Deer would Get Fur Update,More antler varieties and made a little taller,Musk Deer though would only get a Fur Update same with Coyotes (While Unrelated to the map) gray wolves would get more True to life fur types.

This would be much more of a left to right map instead of a up and down map, unlike vurhonga

The Siberian roe deer is called Capreolus pygargus while the European is called Capreolus Capreolus which means it's a different species also the Asian ones are much bigger and nearly 50% heavier

Muntjac are also hunted or at least culled in the UK so I feel the devs might be toying with us and are either throwing out some deliberate clues or red herrings. There is no way that the inclusion of this species was accidental.

One (Very Controversial I Would Say) Species That I Would Love To See In Game Is The Saiga Antelope. I Wouldn’t Mind Them On This Map Either, The Issue Is That Their Population In Mongolia Is Only Around 15,000 - 18,000, And They’re Classes As Endangered.

acoustic crypt
#

I think they’d be better off on a Kazakstan, the saiga hunting scene is growing, and it’s different enough.

For sure we need Kazakhstan

@acoustic crypt you're a beast at making map suggestions get Kazakhstan going

@acoustic crypt one thing that I noticed when looking back at this is that you put Red Deer on there as a returning species. Red Deer are not found in Mongolia, with the closest population being in western Kazakhstan.

acoustic crypt
golden rapids
#

Might be classed with wapiti, it's all really confusing

ember shell
# acoustic crypt Interesting

To my knowledge they’re found in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, China, and Tajikistan, but not Mongolia. I would still like to see them in game someday, hopefully called by their other name, the Hangul.

golden rapids
#

There's also maral stag which is really confusing because some populations are classed as elk and some as red deer

median cave
#

There is the Central Asian Red Deer, which is listed as Cervus hanglu, and like Mr. Schrader said, they are mainly found in Central Asia and China.

acoustic crypt
#

The weirdly Mongolia shaped gap in their range is funny to me

golden rapids
#

Yeah looking into it I don't think red deer (cervus elaphus) or central Asian red deer (cervus hanglu) are in Mongolia I think maral elk. So wapiti are in Mongolia definitely

median cave
#

From what I understand about the Maral, the only true Maral are a Red Deer subspecies with the trinomial name of Cervus elaphus maral and are mainly found in Anatolia, the Caucasus Mountains and parts of Iran.

#

The main wapiti subspecies I am aware of being hunted in Mongolia is the Altai wapiti

acoustic crypt
#

Unfortunately it won’t let me edit the post, I think it’s too old… I was tempted to revise this in a new post.

Its why 3 closely related species are called Maral

Altai-Sayan Forest Reindeer (Rangifer tarandus valentinae)
Habitat: Boreal forest
This subspecies is a montane form whose ecology parallels that of British Columbia’s Mountain Caribou. It migrates altitudinally in dense coniferous forests at elevations of 400—1,500 meters.
Its mitochondrial genome shows no signs of introgression of domestic reindeer.

#

It is possible that this subspecies is the ancestor of the domestic herd reindeer found in the boreal forest of the Tsaatan region in Mongolia.

golden rapids
#

Up here in fennoscandia in certain regions it's really common to see domestic reindeer. They are completely free range almost all of the year only being captured once a year for marking and slaughtering. They are really good at blocking roads
