Could even do an expansion based off hunting de-extinct animals, with the storyline talking about herd management (Not the technique, like from a game warden point of view) and discuss the pros and cons of the ecological impact of de-extincting animals today, in a theoretical reserve.
I've noticed that they like to put messages about how poaching is bad, and impacts on animals and the eco system in their questlines, so honestly, it's not an idea too far in left field... and would open tons of new animals to hunt, such as the quagga, and dodo.

That is not likely to happen, if Universal wanted to create a game it would do it with one of its associated studios, it would not hire an international company like Avalanche Studios Group to make a game from which only Universal would obtain benefits.
There have already been 2 attempts by Avalanche to enter the world of dinosaurs, they did not have much success.

If they take another swing at dinosaur hunting I'd personally prefer the animals to be based on the latest science rather than the versions from the Jurassic Park franchise. From what I've seen of Primal it was sort of halfway in between the two.

A scientifically accurate raptor would be more terrifying then people think
