Hello everyone! A while back I floated this idea over on the subreddit. The showcase update patch notes stating work was done to lever action reload animations made me start thinking about this topic again. After joining the discord recently I figured I'd throw my hat in the ring here as well. So here we go:

Weapon Pack Idea: Assorted Lever Guns

I have always loved lever guns, and would like to see more options available than what is currently in game. I was thinking about what other lever gun models could be implemented with minimal effort from the devs. I would absolutely love new options & calibers not currently available, but I figured for this pitch I would intentionally stick with things already implemented in game to help make things easier on the dev team (and hopefully slightly increase the chances of this becoming a reality...) This was where I landed.

.410 lever action shotgun, classes 1-2

.44 lever action rifle, classes 3-8

.454 modernized/tactical lever action rifle, classes 4-9

Take this opportunity to also give lever guns more touch ups. Increase the max zeroing for all lever rifles to 218 yards, same as the Cuomo handgun. Add a helios shotgun scope that can be used with the already existing 10 gauge and new .410 lever shotguns. Maybe clean up the helios sight picture a little bit? Please bring this to fruition EW!

For a 4-8 a Savage 99 inspired 300 Savage would be awesome as another member mentioned in another thread.

I'd like a .450 Marlin lever action (the same model as the coachmate but usin regular scopes) as a good 7-9

A whinchester 1895 .405 Winchesters like the one in classic ( also 7-9)

Either based on a Winchester 1892 (the same top eject style as the .30-30 in game, could use the LA scope or the same mount system as the M1 and the Solokhin, basically a scout rifle) Or based on the Marlin Carbines (a flat top receiver that would easily take the base game rifle scopes and red dot sight, like the Coachmate .45-70's obvious rail that should be able to mount the 1-4 and hyperion scopes)

Using the .44 magnum round as it is with no stat changes, out to a maximum range of 120 meters, keeping it viable for 3-8 classes would make either weapon flawless for the majority of maps like Te Awaroa and Mississippi Acres, it would also be great for stopping small and fast charging animals like feral pigs/wild boar and the wolves. Carbines are infinitely useful in any area with thick brush, like MA and TA's Western half or future maps either in thick brush or jungle locations. Magazine capacity should be 6, and weight should be 4 units, a slower reload would be a good trade off for the longer range over the revolver.

Edit: Should add that a pump action .44 along the same lines was developed and is still in production as the Lightning rifle. I vastly prefer Lever actions, but I would take a pump action happily

That'd be awesome, but .410 bird shot needs a buff in a bad way, but .410 slugs as 2-4 would be INFINITELY useful

Hey, Browning makes a mag fed lever action rifle, we could get a 3 shot lever action .338!

These are the .410 shells I've got. The buckshot says it's for predators, but will probably still take down a deer. I don't have much on the 2 Remington express #6 and Winchester Super-X 2 3/4 #7 1/2. The only 410 gun I have is an Italian single barrel that basically can fold for compact storage.

Please add a Modern lever action, Browning's BLR model as the inspiration, for a .338 rifle. and an 1895 style .30-06 or .405

The BLR would be excellent. Maybe a 350 caliber round. Like a 35 whelen.

I don't think the tactical lever action would be that good. Maybe add a scope rail for the normal scopes but that's about it.

This is a modern .30-30, same action as the one we have in game but using polymer tipped rounds, it would have more reach and use the same scopes as the other rifles

Honestly would love a 500 magnum lever action rifle that's class 7 to 9

Also, the .50 Alaskan cartridge has been around a really long time but it still meets the requirements for hunting buffalo in Zimbabwe
