We talk about new guns for animals. But how about new calibers for class 2-4 animals?

  1. 7.62x39. Yes this is the AK-47 cartridge but they make these in bolt action rifle as well. The gun could be based off of the CZ 512. The range would be out to 250/300 yards. Good for 2-4 or 2-5 class animals.

  2. 6.5 Grendel. There are also bolt action rifles for this cartridge as well. This cartridge would be another option for a 2-4 class round. The gun could be based on a Howa 1500 rifle or the Ruger American rifle.

  3. 220 swift. Being one of the fastest varmint rifles ever made this could replace the 223 rifle in terms of the long range varmint rifle. Shooting at blazing 4200 fps. This gun could be based off of the Remington 700.

  4. 22-250. I and other people have suggested this gun for a couple of weeks. For good reason. If this was put into the game this would be the best 2-4 rifle in it. Shooting a 77 grain bullet at 3500 fps this would be perfect for those feral goats or pronghorn. Based off the Tikka bolt action rifle.

  5. Lastly the 6mm creedmore. This is faster than all the others. Also this would be more of a 2-5 class round. But still this would give the players an option to carry one gun for coyotes, goats, pronghorn, whitetail, boars, and wolves. Shooting a 115 grain bullet at 2900-3000 fps. The gun could be based off of the Bergara B-14 ridge.

P.S I hate that I can't have the numbers in order.

Lever actions for the .357 and .44 would also be really nice

Yup, light recoiling rifle that works between 0 and 250 yards that is just purely useful for hunting or defense

And 7-9, a scout style rifle in .358 Norma mag would be great

Also I would love to hear other people's ideas on 2-4 or 2-5 class cartridges.

I love these ideas. 220 swift especially I really want that in the game

We already have a 6.5, but I guess it's based on the 6.5*55 SE or something a bit more powerful. There's lots of calibers in the different brackets between .264 (6.5) and .300 (.308). A lot of them being wildcats (Cartridges that have been improved by handloaders), but also gun- and ammunition manufacturers doing their own versions (Nosler, Hornady, Rigby, Norma, Weatherby etc. Most prominent Hornady, Nosler and Weatherby. My ideas for new small calibers are 6XC, 6.5 Creedmoor (Instead of Grendal), .204 Ruger, 25 Remington. I could go on, cause there's a lot of cartridges, but most are just different manufacturers way of being competitive with other brands, so they just try to get as much performance as possible out of the cartridge.

.25 Sharps would work too, it's a .223 necked up to hold a .25 caliber bullet

Something that would be of interest, for me, is a .458 SOCOM with sub-sonic loads. Would only work up to lvl 5 or 6, but would work like the 22/45 airgun, with the fact that it's sub-sonic. The bullet drop would be horrendous, but you'd have another "alert" gun to use. Been playing around with Hornadys ballistic calculator and their 410gr Sub-X bullet, why I'm choosing the .458 SOCOM as an option.

A .458 Winchester would slap buffaloes, helpful

What I'd really like to see is a Polymer Soft-Point choice (The best of both worlds). But it would probably be very expensive to have the polymer pen and sp expansion 🤷

I've wanted a 22-250 for long time. I love the caliber

Yes, numbers tell you a lot but not the whole story, i hunted with a group using both calibers, and I helped gut feral hogs. they were roughly equal but the 6.5 was a little messier, especially heart shots
