yes, I do go to the top lakes, where I find up to 3 males and more females. Nowhere in the middle/south part of the map I found more than 2 zones on a lake to make it worth. So average 5-8 males per run. Although that "run" takes only like 10-15min it is still a very small number..

Not to my knowledge, tho I think some trees and other things were added to some maps which may have caused the game to freak out when a tent was registered as being there

Not a Rancho fan. I’ve killed more on the southwest side of the Mississippi map than Rancho. Just walking slow along the water way. So far that I have seen in Finland the racks look small

Sometimes yes, only if they are approaching a need zone tho.
The upland fowl tends to do that more often when fleeing tho. Occasionally they may land within conversation distance of you

Lookout towers are those things you unlock to get an idea of where everything is, such as outposts
Blinds of various types conceal you from animals
For instance, the ground blind. There’s also hunting stands which are basically the same thing but elevated.
Then there’s ones that are portable (can be placed anywhere with suitably level ground and enough clear space around them), such as tripods

Most blinds can only be used by one person at a time. However, in the case of the portable ones, there’s nothing stopping you from placing two of them next to each other
