Finland is mostly covered in forest so the map being so open is slightly weird 😄 But lapland in the north and swamp areas are very open. And of course lakes are decently open too. I hope the new home ranges reset makes drink zones less effective but that's my main issue with the game anyway 😄

I see your point about the bear being "easier" to make, but I think they will indeed take the time to make a new moose model. It certainly will not take as long as making the new reserve, so if they started at the same time, this will not be a problem for them.

In my opinion they are too different to compare. Both are beautiful birds though, and if had to pick one, it would be turkey because I hunt them IRL and there are a couple flocks that have made a home on my property. Finnish hunting dogs all have a purpose, and that's one purpose only: hounds chase the rabbits or foxes to the line for the hunters to take them out. Pointers show the location of the birds so the accompanying hunter(s) know where to look for the jumping bird when it takes off after making the said dog to flush it. And then there's the spitz, which hopefully chases the bird up to a tree, and then it mesmerizes the bird with its bark so that the hunter can approach the tree, spot the bird, and shoot it, preferably while not spooking the bird.

And then there's the two other species.. the Norwegian moose hound that has the purpose of finding the moose and making it to stay put so the hunter can find, locate and shoot it. Same thing for the Karelian Bear Hound

Weird lesson about ballistics, same .222 (not a typo) through a capercaillies heart: flies away, found with a dog next day.
same rifle, similar .222 round, shot through a capercaillie leg, the shock was enough to kill it. Maybe it hit the femur.

Oh btw for anyone it concerns: reindeer and caribou are actually not the same thing. They are similar, but not the same. Caribou are slightly larger and have longer legs, and migrate hundreds of miles to breeding grounds. Reindeer do not share this migratory behavior
