the waterfowl rework takes a lot of time and changes for what will come in a Big Update, it also took many hours of work that would not have been free, they must insert everything and recover the investment, it is logical to assume that it will come along with a new DLC map :S

I scoured Hirchfelden but couldn't find a spot like the picture. Found a couple of fishing platforms, even one with a fishing hut; no boats like the picture though.

Ew is a small studio, they've acknowledged our need for a second africa map only very recently
Have some patience and it will come out at some point
Also keep in mind that, just like any game studio, they dont work on 1 reserve at a time, they work on multiple reserves at a time and release them when they are ready. So maybe the new africa map is ready being worked on.

I agree. I can easily imagine they are working on a new African map, and the longer it takes, the more amazing it will be. They always aim to go beyond what they have done before.

I posted these earlier, but here is what Sweden looks like in Avalanche Studio's other game, Generation Zero. (COTW uses the same engine.) IMO it is not very different from the community update image. Note, in particular, the rocks at the shoreline, and the types of trees. This is what the Stockholm Archipelago looks like IRL as well. (Google image search....)

It would be nice if they did a water fowl map. I would like to see more than one species of duck/geese on a map. I duck hunt irl and you hardly ever have just one type of duck come in to decoys. So you get a variety. To me as far as ducks go that’s something this game is missing.

Ok definitely over analyzing but this has been bugging me. In the CU 2 weeks ago (with the other pic we can’t find) Meg signs off of I hope you have a fantastic good’ne. Phrasing seems…strange. If it was I hope you have a good’ne I’d say it’s simply a version of good one - but she says fantastic good’ne which linguistically makes the term a noun. Meaning a good’ne is something referenced. I’ve searched everywhere for the term and can’t figure out what it means. Might just be a typo situation but it stands out to me.

Let's recap:
We have the Waterfowl Rework confirmed, so the map could be related/adapted to contain waterfowl..
Then we have the image of UC that does not match any design seen on other maps, both the dock and the submerged plants on one side of it, for this we consider the image to be an edit or a non-accessible part of the map modified to look like a IRL place...
The trees in the background are similar to those of Layton, Yukon, and Hirsch, so we believe they may be from a similar latitude..
Places that match these characteristics and are important for waterfowl hunting are Central Canada (Manitoba/Saskatchewan) and Scandinavia Wetlands (Sweden/Finland)

BUT all this only if the image is an edition and it is a track, nothing is confirmed

That part we can confirm in the last CU post and yesterday’s stream where the rework and next content release have been referenced as different things. The link between the 2 is us as the community assuming the next DLC will be tied into the rework.
