So not sure if this has been brought up yet but has anyone done the research on what sort of crocodilians are huntable worldwide? Seems alligators and nile crocodiles are really the only common options. Salties can be hunted in Australia but there's some strict regulations and rules around that it seems.

We don't know what the GO is, but we know that is' in Te Awaroa right? (Assuming that's what TA stands for..) as for clues, the only clue found so far is alligator bellowing in SRA.. Meaning there's still one clue hidden in Layton, and at least one other clue somewhere on some reserve?

Crocodiles have a higher pitched hiss sorta sound whereas gators actually use their lower throat to bellow, hence why when they are in the water you can somtimes hear the vibrations from their bellows,

They can reuse some of the huntable critters there, and also add crocs and roos. I actually don't know what rules there are around hunting crocs though, so it's also likely that they'll make the map in southeastern united states

I can't agree lol. There's no way that's a clue. It would be scraping the barrel for them, and could be interpreted way too many ways. What is it's 3 squares for only 3 new species? I kind of hope that gators or crocs get in, but I'm afraid that you're right. Either could hint at an African/Australian River map, and they needn't necessarily have the crocs/gators in the map. I don't think it's so much a legality issue, but they're just so different from literally everything else we have already in the game in terms of spending so much time in water, having a different anatomy, not having fur/feathers, etc.

It depends a whole lot, but normally it roots from the latter. Hunting works very well for many species, even just in the US it helped elk, bison, black bear, deer and more from possible extinction. A portion of money spent on licensing and equipment for hunting goes directly back to conservation, so it’s a very great way to raise money. It does not always work, but that’s why not all animals are legal to hunt. Sort of like how elephants are only legal in certain African countries, it benefits the animals in some places but not others.
