Time will tell, but I think Haggis is something completely different from our hunting habits. I got my first and only GO in LL after two years of playing. A pure gift from heaven or maybe not the way I played, who knows. I'm the type of player who, despite a solid number of years (56), enjoys these non-grinding possibilities. I've long dreamed of allowing us to upload pictures to the Lodge so that we could sometimes get some Cryptides (Bigfoot ... ) in, say, Nepal, Alaska ... which we can't catch physically but we can have a picture for the Lodge since there are only pictures of such a creature and that somehow we have evidence of incredible presence and experience. Spotted a group of 4 badgers. One lvl 5 and one that was brighter then the others.

the map is easy enough to traverse and it's open enough where animals aren't obscured by plants to often and the species are divided into the three main regions of the map so you won't have to go all over looking for one species

This is the route I did when I first spotted, my diamond mink yesterday.
I came from right, going to the red marked area from right, then to the left one where I spotted him with other 2-3 minks and ofc , it spooked when I got to close and followed on the blue round, right from the same spot, where I spotted him and I caught him swimming and caught him with shotgun

says a boy was tasked to march with bagpipes and those above ground would chart his course based on sound, haggis hide in “burrows” and make bagpipe noise, then says he would play his bagpipe till nightfall, then when the moon was full in the sky his sounds could be heard again, which is when the haggis is most certainly active, per codex, and per their little moon in your eye post.

then also the very ominous cave that is said to “lead to the tip of ireland” has a weird monument inside not sure if related but i feel could be

and the standing stones obviously related bc theyre placed in highlands where haggis reside and i alrdy said info about those last night

so i think maybe at 2am the haggis emerges from that cave

i think the “obvious” ben stated we were missing is that the haggis doesnt have to be “spawned” it alrdy is on our map just hiding, we have to just be at the right place at the right time to see it for sure

• shot no more than twice
• did not damage the trophy organ (AKA skull in a majority of animals, so no headshots)
• hit a vital organ

one thing to note tho, some animals (alligators and crocodiles to name two) do not have a trophy organ and thus you can do headshots on them

-# you actually pretty much had to try to get brainshots on gators when Missi for launched, or else they'd make it to the water and sink upon death. That has since been removed

yea I noticed that the trophy organ part is a bit weird, some animals it's more sensitive than others

beavers are super difficult whereas all birds are just aim and shoot

and some birds you can just shoot on the ground like the grouse.. or weasels and rabbits
