I obv have no issues with people who only/primarily grind and don't really want them to actively hurt their way of playing (unless it involves a blatant exploit/bug), but I like playing the game as a more immersive hunting sim like I have for several years rather than knowing the ins and outs of how to make respawns, bigger animals, etc. and treating it like an animal farming sim

It's part of why I wish animals roamed more during feeding times. That way drink zone hunting is still available for people who hunt that way, while feeding times work better for people like me who want to go out in the woods and just see what's out there

I used to grind and it killed my love for the game but some people grind to unwind and for some people is very relaxing

I wish feeding zones were much wider areas, instead of just "here's a tiny patch on this huge map that this herd of deer only goes to"

They need less strict need zones for that but again thats a problem for grinding

i'm one of those grind to relax people. i just want to collect shinies. the new updates to respawns have really slowed me down and only make the game more frustrating

so i play less than i used to. i lose interest in my sessions way faster

sometimes i go for a wander/run and gun but again, it doesn't hold my interest for long

bc I know animals will have general areas where they prefer to eat, sleep, and drink, but from my own experiences in the field, "feeding zones" are usually more like wide areas where deer roam and feed, rather than a specific patch of grass

ofc this gets thrown out the window when you plant food crops for deer, but in general feeding areas are less restrictive than this game treats them as

That's why I only grind GO species I just want to get the cool stuff sometime but if I just want to relax and enjoy the game I just roam or set up and blast ducks/geese grinding is just a pain sometimes

this is just a rough example and not a specific proposal on locations, but here's what I have in mind:

• green area is where moose regularly roam and feed, with a preference to staying near the water. They can be seen browsing on leaves, grazing off of the ground, and feeding on aquatic plants throughout this region, not locked into specific little zones

• blue areas are drink zones, where the current drinking behavior stays as is

Hybrid GOs are unlikely because the other ducks have hybrids as rares so it wouldn’t make sense for only mallards to have it as a GO variant instead of a rare

And I doubt they’d base it off of duck breeds because domestic ducks look hardly any different from wild ducks mainly either being white, solid dark colors or just being a variant of the wild type color
