Auto caller isn’t really for set ups, it’s more for getting them to land when they already are called in. The hand callers is what you need if you’re not using decoys. The hand callers and decoys for ducks and geese reach outside render distance to call them in, while the auto caller only calls them in within like 210m

So basically you need decoys if you use the auto caller

Can you show where you’re set up? There’s some spots that look nice for the ducks and geese but have none around. It took me a long time of trial and error to finally get a good blind set up for them

my labrador keeps getting stuck in "Searching to retrieve" and runs off hundreds of meters away
the only fix is to kennel him
only canadian geese on hirschfelden seem to work towards dog job progress, revontuli ducks don't advance job leveling progress

teleporting between tents and lodges is also broken
i keep getting teleported into the ground and the load screen doesn't show

animals spawn right next to next every time i teleport and get spooked instantly

Not sure where else to post this, but here it goes. I'm playing on PC/Steam. Ever since December 3, 2024 update, game freezes/hangs 9 times of 10 when starting up. The dogs no longer works when on ATV. The fetching dog cancels search or returning harvest and teleports back to me when exiting a blind. Game will switch into window mode after 30-60 seconds of playing. The game is literally unplayable for me, and I had absolutely 0 problems before the update. I installed a fresh copy of Windows two weeks ago for unrelated reasons. My Windows OS is up to date, and everything running as it should. The game, complete disaster.

I’ve noticed zeroing matters a lot more on shotguns now, I’ve had to run low zero on shotguns instead of mid zero. If I’m shooting mid zero at 20m it shoots high and only one or two pellets impact, but shooting low zero even out to 30-40m it hits perfectly

Patch notes say that killing waterfowl causes less hunting pressure, but it hasn't really changed. Still 4 kills to kill the zone!

Also: the air rifle still causes full hunting pressure (since rhododendron update.... meeeh)

Needs also fixing. This is the point of the air rifle: To harvest silently... thus it should result in reduced hunting pressure again.

The rest of the update is wonderful. I love the power of the Vallgarda. Now we have a viable rifle to reasonable fast harvest moose from distance.... or cape buffalo, where even the .300 mag was unfortunately heavily underpowered.

As much as I’d love to see this, I doubt they’d make it. It would just be too close to Rancho. AZ would work as a great small map in NA though. Could definitely have a few elk on there.

and the pop itself is entirely RNG

grinds can be as low as 30

as high as 8k

its entirely random

all about killing as many deer as you can
