Actually scratch what I said, turns out they’re actually least of concern in Europe, I was thinking about what the laws are in the UK, where there are about 400-500,000 of them. However, this really isn’t as big a number as it seems; tens of thousands are killed on roads (I will usually see atleast 2-3 a week where I live) and are affected by diseases, and previously culling them has nearly made them extinct, so they’re protected in the Uk, disturbing them in any way gets you 6 months in prison.
