If anyone was interested in the location:
I was wandering around on Day 1 just killing whatever I came across and that was how I got my Melanistic Diamond. It was along the river location here.
So, if I am understanding correctly, when I started up my map this guy was already on it. That is even more nuts.

I shot 3 Gold Medal (Not Fur) Orange Bengal Tigers and then my 4th was a Diamond Melanistic.

Just now I shot one on another lake, from a blind no less, first one on that lake, and now the zone is gone.

I have never seen this behaviour from any other species, just trying to understand it.

Right now I think the game mechanic is off, there are Myths everywhere and the lasts 4 level 9's were gold with a vital hit. The spawn on the herd size is pretty amazing, some lakes have 20 animals, BUT you need to explore all thos lakes and find the zones.

Find fresh snow leopard track - possibly also voice. Follow the track in about 10 to 15 minutes. The animal will flee a number of times. At some point the leopard will pause, and you will be able to get closer by crawling. From there it is up to you. Need to have the wind against you at all times.

Snow leopards are fairly slow, you can usually get close enough to them and then just sprint at them until clear line of sight
