There was an issue that came up a while back where animals wouldn't not render when you traveled to a tent that was to close to them. Moving 250m away would have them render in. We fixed that but in the process it would seem that the animals spooking right away is not working as intended. That's the current issue

I think it’s part intentional and part not intentional, right now if you spawn in they won’t flee, (unintentional). But if you spawn in ona zone they will be there (intentional)

We do see, after an update, that this can happen and is often a result of conflicting software, overlays, etc. If it persists please send in a ticket and our support should be able to help sort it out. Of course we always monitor for this just in case a new issue arises.

All I did was set up a tent at each of the 3 lakes. Then just rinse repeat and check them. If no show, go to main menu and select map again. It forces one of these areas to spawn most of the time.

And only check them from 4-7 timeframe.

Otherwise, no point.
