my guess is diamond/rare tigers are so common because

1. theres less # of tigers on the map to distribute the "rarity"
2. the devs didnt anticipate us being able to consistently grind out tigers at such a rapid pace (3 lakes strat)

tbh, ive killed ~5 tigers so far just running around the map unlocking outposts. i havent once encountered a drink zone, nor did i need one. i wouldnt be mad if they removed most/all drink zones for tigers

basic summary is the 3 lakes highlighted in red should have a male tiger and that is his entire home range. So if you set up tents at those 3 lakes and shoot him, main menu, and come back he’ll be at either of the 3 lakes and you just repeat until you get trophies. Occasionally with hunting pressure he’ll move outside of those 3 lakes, the ones I’ve found are the white lakes.

ye theres a bit of territory overlap but i swapped my female with a male spawn at the most bottom lake on the map

My diamond tiger was pacing back and fourth on the other side of the river trying to figure out how to get to me

I’ve had the best luck with main menuing and going to a different zone and cycling through. Let’s say I shot him at the bottom lake and he comes back at the bottom lake, if I main menu and come back at the bottom lake I probably won’t see him. So I’ll check the other 2 lakes then come back and he’ll be there. If you do that and he’s not there main menu again and check all 3 zones. If he’s still not there he probably bounced out to a different lake. It doesn’t happen often, I’ve only had it happen 3 times and I’m pretty sure it was due to hunting pressure. Once you find him and shoot him out of those random lakes he’ll go back to the main 3.

I think that the home ranges for tigers are the same for everyone, what I’m not sure about is if everyone’s tigers are distributed the same. Like let’s say I have a male on the edge of the river, will a tiger in that same home range on someone else’s map also be a male?
