It won’t make any difference if they’re class 5 or 6 unless you plan on hunting them with 10GA slugs. You can’t use the .300/.338 with class 6, but you can still use the 9.3x74r with class 5. That’s why I think class 5 is most appropriate, because not only would it mean they’re in the same class as Bighorn Sheep, but it still lets you use any of the weapons you want (minus 10GA slugs).

Yeah, see I wouldn't advise .270 or the 6.5s for tahr. Need a 30 cal round (or 7mm mag) and preferably with powder behind it. 308 would be poor at range, unless you use ELD-Xs. Their coats, bone structure and thick skin make them tough
