I think most water buffalo in the Nepalese lowlands would be domesticated, though I can’t see why the feral variety wouldn’t be huntable. I don’t think there is a true wild population there.

More maps for water buffalo would be appreciated though I wished they’d be backfilled to EC so it plays more like Piccabeen Bay in Classic.

The more birds the better, Nepal has a fantastic variety in game birds that they could have a different one for every environment. Pretty excited to see what they add outside of the geese already shown.

Basically all water buffalo hunted in the 21st century came from domestic stock one way or another

I had a look and Nepal does have the true wild variety of water buffalo, though they are protected.

The slaughter of cattle seems to be illegal in Nepal from what I’ve read but there might be some exception for domesticated buffalo for whatever reason. Consumption of all beef is still frowned upon for religious reasons however.

I should also mention that the water buffalo that get hunted in Argentina have shorter horns then the ones featured on Parque Fernando (first picture is what I could find for a water buffalo from Argentina)

That is because they are “River Buffalo”: One of the 2 general types of domestic water buffalo that consists of breeds found from India to Eastern Europe. They have shorter horns

The buffalo hunted in Australia are “Swamp Buffalo” which consists of breeds that originated in eastern and southern Asia and have longer horns (second picture)

India, and by extension Nepal have both types

And speaking of Nepal, a major threat to wild water buffalo is hybridization with domestic buffalo due to the price the meat & milk hybrids can bring in

I like them as Class Three, I know of people that have shot them with .22-250, but I would absolutely love some more caliber options. It's honestly a shame the 6.5, .270, .308, and even .30-06 are now not options when so many hunters like myself use them for Pronghorn IRL.

Which is why class 4 would be best. You can use all of the calibers mentioned (including .22-250) when they’re class 4.

No, the weapon classes just need an overhaul. Pronghorn should be Class 3, and honestly so should Blacktails. They're a smaller deer species compared to the average Whitetail.

Tbh I think that would be way more work (and therefore less content) than simply changing them to class 4. The class system in game will never be perfect, but it’s FAR better than the old scoring system.
