The distance estimate is static now. It stays where you first spotted the animal. So if you are using that as your guide be careful. Spot something else and re~spot your target right before shooting to refresh the distance estimate.

22-250 is legal class 2-4 while .308 is 4-8. Kangaroo is a class 4, so the 22-250 is just barely legal while the .308 can take down moose.

Yeah, they're rather quick, but I've had decent success and I had a massive stroke of luck early this morning where I was walking around with a Mangiafico revolver loaded with .45 FMJ; a roo came from the right and crossed my line of sight and I pulled out my revolver and took a shot and down it went. Turns out I lucked out and that single shot hit the heart. I thought it'd take me ages to get that part for the Kangaroo Management mission.
