Damn I got lucky. Saw a diamond, shot it on frontal. Didn't hit vitals. Tracked it for like 15-20 minutes and luckily it didn't die so I got a nice flanking shot for a double lung and avoided loss of score 😄

For me the true benefit of the 7mm is the 4-9 level range. This allows me to ethically take a larger range of animals without having to carry an extra weapon. However since you only have 1 shot you need to also have all the skills an perks necessary to make that 1 shot count ....

I typically only carry 3 weapons. 7mm (4-9) , .243 (2-6 )and .22 (1). Occasionally I will take a shotgun as well for birds that can only be killed in flight ....

I've been having a similar issue with moose, ive hed zones with multiple male moose and a few females. Sometimes when I kill the males they just seem to leave the zone completely.

Like I had a zone with 7 moose and now its down to 3

All female and I never kill my zones

Do i just need more zones or is there something else?

As much as I respect the makers of this game, and only since you asked, I think it's bad craftsmanship from a gameplay design perspective.
The flat geography of the map, coupled with the tall vegetation is a perfect scenario for the prey and a nightmare for the hunter.
I feel like I should have had treestands and bipods to even play this map and I don't own that dlc.
If you like the map I have nothing against you, and I commend the developers for trying something new.

Yeah so what I can tell you now is that Eurasian Teal Decoys can not be placed in Mississippi Acres reserve.
The caller is now listed to work on both species, although I believe the caller does little to nothing without the decoys.

The callers are designed to work in conjunction with the decoys, but they both have an active range of 500m so it's hard to say what's happening outside render distance.

My theory is that once you've put down 20 decoys, because you've reached max attraction strength the caller no longer matters.

Eums are probs not going to be hunted. Mostly as they are the national bird and protected in most of the country. They may do it if our character has a "Licence" to do so.
