I conceptualized what a need zone rework could look like. My idea was that instead of having one area that a herd goes to during drink time, it has a whole range that it can occupy along with other herds. You’d have these drink ranges across the map and the animals wouldn’t drink at the exact same place twice

@agile mortar are there many reports of progress not saving on the new map? because I played earlier and when i logged back on i got the whole intro cutscene again, my need zones were gone, and I could fast travel to the outposts i had claimed and claim them again but without getting xp. Also my latest harvest were reset to when i think i played last which was october 31st. I restarted both game and computer a couple of times, no difference, still resetting each time. Shot and harvested a moose to see if it would appear on my latest harvest if i closed down the game and restarted it. It was nowhere to be seen.

Used a couple of hours in the New England map. The bew map is excellent and complex - when compared to the previously released.
When a new map is released, the first thing I do, is to locate, open and enable all outposts. The New England Map is very complex, -- and for sure born through experiences from the previous maps and input from the user community.
Still missing the ability to save various loadout combinations. -- Excellent map (environment) to "hike" through - performing the missions, locating hot spots and hunt.

Moving them into more favorable zones can be part of it if the new spawns aren't cooperating after you delete zones you don't want.

No the theory is that you leave the smallest levels and the highest levels and shoot all between. So if a species goes to 5, you wanna leave the 1's and 5's and shoot 2,3,4's. You can leave some of the really big 4's if you want but not proven it does anything.
