Still a vital in the hunting world, just doesn’t kill the animal as quickly as you’d like even with an effective shot. Like littlenightma said, there are more effective vital organs to shoot which take the animal down much quicker. The fact it doesn’t kill as quickly as you want doesn’t make it a non-vital organ.

Personally I like the nature appeal much more when traveling. Like Alaska has been my absolute favorite place by far to do anything. I’ve been in the New England area many times, but never considered it an exceptional hunting place I guess.

I was watching a couple CCs this weekend, and it seems they were all upset over the Lynx in the update scaring everything away. I took a look into the info and seems like the Lynx in NA will actually hunt deer and caribou on occasion (there's a YT video of a juvenile lynx attacking an adult mule deer from in BC somewhere, the lynx does kill the deer but that's not in the video.) The European lynx is larger than the NA one, so same idea there. I did read on a Finland site where it says brown bear are the only predator the lynx has there, so I assume that bear in NA could also predate on the lynx. So maybe the lynx needs a fix to not scare the bear away.

Scout (Free): Contains six weapon customization options (includes one of the options that is unlocked when purchasing New England Mountains)
Veteran (Paid): Includes all options from the Scout and Reserve DLC packs + seven exclusive options)

I wasn't part of the community that was asking for weapon skins, but having seen the system I'm convinced now and I'm actually looking forward to that most of all.
Definitely some weapons I'd like to kit out and a 3 euro cosmetic pack seems eminently reasonable to me. I always thought EW were very reasonable in their dlc costs, especially with their 10% and even 20% launch discounts which are kind of ridiculous.
All I can really say is count me in and see you in New England tomorrow. 🙂

you need the free part of the update if you want the animal backfills, the patches, and the great one moose. I guess you can play offline without the update if you want. You won't be able to play online with people or on the new map without the update. The paid part you don't need.

More often than not you can usually tell just by lookin whether it’s a rare or not. I would much rather the game tell you in the harvest screen whether something’s rare/very rare or not
