Okay, so me and my friend were talking yesterday about the new update. We had a theory; the new rack we saw in the Instagram trailer is the new equivalent of a 300s rack for diamond. This will go alongside a truRACS rework for moose.

The reason I don’t think it’s a great one rack is because the fur in the picture is one of the common ones. Now, Jaxy said the GO Moose will have 5 fur types, moose currently have 7 fur types; 2 shared commons, 1 male common, 1 female common and 3 rare fur types. It wouldn’t make sense for a GO rack to be on a common fur type

Irl you can get a licence to kill one specific specimen, this specimen is almost always an older male

Idk about elephants IRL, but for rhinos at least they take the older males and let people buy tags to go out and "hunt" them. The ones they let you buy very expansive tags from aren't able to reproduce anymore anyways or cause issues with the overall population. The money goes towards helping protect them. It's pretty interesting.

It's not "they can't" it's they choose not to, as of now. Hopefully that does change in the future, but no doubt more opportunities would come their way by opening that door than keeping it closed 🤷‍♂️

Pretty sure this is the right place to throw out my suggestions to the Devs/CMs for replacement ideas regarding the black-tail on SRP. Looking at the animals we already have on the map I think that we need some classed 2 or 3 animals like: Bobcat, Fox, Raccoon and maybe a Duck species. I think adding 2 or 3 of those would be great for diversity and add to the experience of the map.

Elephant hunts could be done using tags. Or making them mission based. Purchasing tags should be expensive (in game currency) to prevent wholesale slaughter. There should also be the chance that a Rouge / Dangerous Male will spawn . These dangerous rouge males will also be Gold / Diamonds and can be killed at any time for the safety of the villages .... Just need to be a little creative .....

In any case just seeing herds of Elephants roaming the Savannah would be extremely immersive ....

The only issue with a licensing system is that it’s an entirely new game mechanic for only one species

It’s not worth it for just one species, because at that point why not have licenses and tags for every species in the game

From a real life point of view, yes licensing and such would be great. Increases immersion and such.
But you also have to look at these things from a gameplay perspective as well

I’m not saying this system is great or anything. I’m just saying that we need to figure out a way to get past the endangered species argument. At the end of the day this is a game, not real life. The game is full of plenty of things that are vastly unethical irl, but it’s okay because it is a video game. As long as they don’t go completely overboard, they should be able to implement things that the community wants.
