It's just a UVB.

That means you need to pick up two heat bulbs tomorrow,

A black light for night time and a white light for daytime

same gender pair minimum, they make good inside birds, just have to compensate for the bedding they'll likely fling out because they sandbathe as a daily thing

females tbh, Rooster quail have raging hormones young, so if you're wanting young birds you're going to want hens otherwise you're gonna have to deal with them trying to breed eachother and they can crow nonstop all day and night

Hens make sweeter sounds and are quiet, provide food, noticeably more tame imo

I have never encountered egg binding with quail myself, but its an issue in jumbo sized quail that're bred for large eggs, which im not breeding for so i dont encounter it
