A lot of them we just let out of the trap to do their natural spawn but we put a bunch in the tanks so we can take their eggs out and hatch them, why we do our method is because in the wild they have a way less of a chance of survival rate

We keep them in side the facility and when they get a few inches (called a fingerling) we put them into these small ponds and put small minnows in the pond and let them grow for a while then we put them into lakes around us that need fish

and you can maintain checks on her easier

checking her bottom
making sure her beak/nostrils are clear of debris
using a warm, moist cotton pad to wipe her eyes or any crusties that might build up on her
