first, TYSM for heloing that garter out. i operate a snake removal/relocation service in Texas, and olive oil is one of the items that gets alot of use. for future reference, use the smallest amount of oil you can get away withthe best thing you can do is be slow, and as gentle as possible. try to offer them some water. use a cotton swab to work the oil under the skin. be patient and take your time. at some point they will start working themselves the rest way loose. once free its best to let them soak or rinse them off to remove as much oil as possible. it will attract ants and predators if left present.
