what kind of tetra cos it varies per specie, kinda

1. With nothing in the tank there is no real means for it to start cycling - so there needs to be live creatures to put the bacteria in system etc

you can seed with that kind of stuff, but it only boosts for a couple days before bacteria die off because not really cycled iirc

Ideal general range for multiple species of tetras is like 6.6-7.8, some like less - some like more
