Platinum mosaic retired breeder
Mosaic girl i produced. She is identical to a white tip white face but has no white tip in her genetics so she's jist a coincidentally colored mosaic
Technically she's a white face mosaic
Cow ear mosaic retired breeder
Ringtail mosaic male with one of the most unique tail patterns I've seen but you can't see it in this Pic. But it's layered and goes from light grey to dark to white at the tip
It takes him forever to breed with his girls but his brother on the other hand has given me 6 babies in the span of a few months
The stud muffin brother in question (big one on the right)
That's most of em I've got more tho
I've got like 60 animals
Sister of the little fella I posted way up at the top. She's just a white face
Shes the daughter of the 2 above her
I sold her a few weeks ago
She was a butt
First baby i produced years ago. Male cow ear mosaic
Male cow ear marbled mosaic technically
Newborn baby pics
That little man was so sweet. I miss him
Better Pic of my ringtail tail. Older Pic from back when he was stained pretty badly
He was being kept with his brother back then and they just marked each other alot and got dirty
But I've only ever seen one other ringtail with the same tail pattern and it was his nephew who I bred
The nephew in question. Tip of tail you can't see but it has the same white tip
His other nephew. Just a plain mosaic but i call it the vest pattern
And bonus pic of my 2 retired girls
Paroedura pictus
the dog looks disappointed
Foxhound?
Anglo-Russian Hound
Unicorn
eh whats up doc
Rhinelander?
He is so cute
He's actually a New Zealand Mini Rex cross but he came out looking like a rhinelander.
wild haha
My dog Norris playing with his brother
I love Bostons. I had 2 purebreds growing up and 3 Boston mixes
My Murphys pattern less
does he swim
Never has
Probably will take him to swim this summer
Bcs he was born last year after the summer so no chance to go swim
Fair fair
Keeonah I think would swim, but doesnt like the brook moving, so I think if we get her to a lake she will swim
She's always happy In the photos
She lives a gilded life. We go swimming whenever it's warm enough, she gets treats for behaving really well when there are provocative jerk dogs, I ask for tricks and she does them and gets treats for it -
tummy scrubs, ear massages, big neck and shoulder scrubbies with my nails whenever
breakfast between 6 and 8 am, and all the walks she could ask for
(She cons her Papa into giving her multiple cuddles and tummyrubs and full body scrubs EASILY 2x a day)
Yeah. That's a really good life for a dog.
I wouldnt say she's spoiled, per se, but she certainly doesnt have much hardship anymore
Anymore? What do you mean?
Ah well
I got her when she was 6 weeks old, and my ex was abusive to whatever was in reach. She happened to be his target when I was at work and stuff.
Oh. That's not good at all
That ended when we split, so now she lives life as a Queen to the best of my abilities. Toys, food, love and snacks whenever she deserves them
(and she wrapped Husbro around her paw in like 10 minutes flat - despite snarling at him their first meeting haha)
o:
@main topaz I forgot. What's her breeding again? Like part Husky and then something else?
50% Husky 50% Aussie Shepherd
Her "breeder" had all his bitches tied and let the male free roam the yard.. so he had husky mutts all over
Horrible human. I'm upset she was so young when I got her - but I wouldnt change a thing. Absolutely rescued her from an awful situation
Okay.
Yeah. That's good that you got her before that happend.
Lastly what does her name mean? It looks Native American.
Uhhh I went real deep on the wormhole of names but
iirc it meant roughly like burning ice because she had SUCH personality switches as a puppy
cold shoulder and then 100000% play with me mother
That's how most dogs work
Till she became a little psychotic
Nah she's just obsessive over me and Husband haha
Oh. Yeah. It's always funny to see her pictures on walks and stuff. She always seems happy.
Sad dog :c
Mom went away for literally 10 mins
lol of course
He a mommas baby
fr
Look at those TOES
Looking intently at the pellets
Waxworms? A spoiled chook 🥰
They’re dried mealworms I think. My chickens are very spoiled lol
Maple Adventures with all the smells🍁
Snake feeding time, a content warning should be pretty self explanatory. (Miami Corn Snake, 66% het Amelanistic)
Omg
Im having an over load of cutness
Not trying to judge, but that looks a little big for him. How often do you feed?
3 times a day
Sorry, I can't tell if your joking or what. I wasn't talking to you.
Im really hoping so as i thought you were supposed to feed them like once every week or 2
Baby corns need fed more which is why I asked. That meal just looks big for the head size
a small snake like that could probably live of that big body for 2 weeks straight, depending on how fast it's actually growing^^
I have 12
o/ two pinkies per feed was the standard for my breeder when we worked with him, upgrade size as snake grew
But 3x/day is ridiculous, obviously
We would feed the baby corns 1x a week - minimum 2 pinkies, 3 if they would take it for like the first month
Then we would settle them into a "routine"
Yeah that looks more like a rat pup than a mouse pinkie though. I'm not sure
It's a mouse fuzzy. He is fed just about every two weeks, like Cocytus mentioned. The video didn't quite do him justice I will admit.
Okay all good, I just knew that corns are typically pretty even body wise. How old is he out of curiosity?
My cousin with my old corn snake
Year old, hatched may 1st and purchased around January. He was a slow starter (for the breeder), but he's also my first corn so I'm unsure on growth rates
Do you know a weight?
Not one that's accurate to currently
As long as he's not overweight or super skinny that looks about right
This corn is beautiful btw 😭
Yeah he looks good. Very pretty
Thank you, very excited for him to grow up so the orange can pop out a bit.
She's at my old school now. She's hopefully gonna breed to their oddball charcoal
No I was joking my bad lmao
i was only guessing but yea, feels good to be on spot 😄
btw, speaking of snakes, are there some that don't have teeth (like ones that only eat eggs or insects)? thinking about raising one but i wouldn't want anyone getting injured and learning to handle them might be easier if they can't actually bite or would that be a bad way to go about snakes?
Oh sweet, I don't particularly have plans to breed this guy, but if I do it'll be to a peppermint or a peppermint tessera since he's possibly got amel. Didn't get him with the intentions of breeding though. The breeder seems to be very good and reputable so I'll probably buy back from her
Slug eating snake
Trust me don't get into breeding if your unsure. I started with 2 and now that I'm breeding I have 12
They just keep showing up and I'm like that's cool, I'll get it
Lmao yeah I'm waiting till I'm a bit more stable financially. Definitely something I'd like to get into when I'm prepared though
Smart move
I had my first clutch when I was 16. I really wasn't prepared as much as I hate to admit it
pretty
Mine was ball pythons though
they're actually allowed as pets, right? i mean i couldn't find any articles about them being endangered just curious since they really look kinda cute 🥹
giant eyes
I've seen them for sale. Having a. Supply of slugs is hard though
not really, my neighbor actually plans on getting chinese ducks (those long necked ones) in an attempt to keep the slugs out of his garden without using poison etc
I feel like they'd be one of the breeds that get taken out of their native areas and sold on black markets.
so having a snake that feeds on them would more or less just require me to go grab the slugs and keep them in a separate tank with green waste from the village store
Just an example
Do egg eating snakes have teeth? I'm sure quail eggs may be easier to find than slugs. Unsure about finch eggs though. Plus the egg eaters seem to be a bit more common
hmm, ok, so i guess animal, terrarium etc included i gotta save up around 500€ to be on the safe side 🤔
Could do a dekay's brown snake. They are cheaper and adorable
That's a full grown adult
Not sure where to order them in Europe though
i mean it won't be immediately anyway, just as a longer term goal for actually getting as pet
Dekays eat earthworms so that would be easy
Also I know you don't want one with teeth, but ball pythons don't have much aggression. I've never met one that intentionally bit me and very rarely do I see them strike. They're also the most common snake out there
just getting a few ideas would be suffice since there's always pet traders in garden centers around here that could order quite a big pallet of snakes, seen them importing even rather dangerous ones like a horned viper, or heck, even a green mamba once
One thing with most colubrids, they do tend to smell a little
I'd say a ball python might be best. But I'm VERY biased.
well, those probably have teeth tho, right?
Same 😭
They do
Aren't some of those earthwom eating species of snakes kinda venomous?
Not big teeth. I've been bit and sometimes it doesn't even bleed
I think garters are rear fanged venomous but I may be wrong.
Not dekays they are harmless
Some are, not all
Ahh
Not as bad as a hognose.
Only time I've been bitten by a ball was during feeding, and it was my fault because I was holding the mouse with my bare hand
Hmm okay. Google search I did said some earthworm eating snakes are venomous.
Ringnecks eat earthworms and have slight venom, nothing that can harm a human though
well, thing is, depending on where i'm gonna move i probably might have kids around and since i'd plan on placing the terrarium inside my living room that might be potentially dangerous that's why i'm thinking about species that don't have teeth, i'd also be more comfortable with handling them if i know they won't bite me by surprise (i'm rather easily scared and don't wanna send itt flying out of shock or something like that)
I must they are kinda neat
99% of my bites are more shock that pain.
Yeah, I assume too that they are a more docile snakes too.
This question may be a bit annoying, but have you considered lizards/geckos? Some of them are more interactive and won't bite you. Even if they do, geckos can't do any damage
So probably teeth isn't your issue. I'd say a slow moving calm snake is better
and that's the point, i'd probably hurl it across the room from the shock and that more likely than not wouldn't exactly be healthy or helpful with keeping one 😅
Blue tongue lizards
Yeah my high school animal science teacher said the first bite is the shocking one. After that you know it doesn't hurt and it's not as bad
Don't know what they're called
Blue tongue skink?
well, a friend of me has a couple bearded dragons and while i love their looks they're just irksome to touch with their rough skin, that's what made me think of snakes in the first place since most i've seen/touched so far are silk smooth and soothing to touch ^_^
yehhhh
Ahh yeah I get that
A skink might not be terrible then. They feel like snakes but are lizards
Like this guy
Plus they eat mostly vegetables and bugs
That also
That price common across the board?
Not to mention, they get big but not too big if that makes sense. That's appealing to me personally
Depends on the color. I've seen some down to 200
Hmm okay
up to what size of bugs exactly?
Dubias and crickets at most I'd assume. I've never owned one
I gtg ping me if you have questions
just thinking about it since during may and june we usually got big swarms of these here
I know nothing about owning lizards and stuff but I'd be cautious of feeding it bugs in your area. Might not sit well with your lizard or maybe get it sick. But also I know nothing of owning them.
I'd be sure of the toxicity of that insect, feeding wild caught insects is generally discouraged for health reasons but I can't say I've never done it. If you can purchase insects that may be safest though ^^
I wouldn't be too worried about it though. They can eat salad scraps and occasionally fruit so a wild insect every once in a while probably won't hurt
well, since i'm usually tight on money i'd just run through the options i've got available, but iof you'd advise against wild caught bugs then i guess i've gotta check the prices on that sttuff firsthand as well then
Kinda looks like a june bug but bigger and a different color.
yea, it's the bigger brother of the june bug, the may bug
Of course it's called a May bug
xD
Idk about outside of the USA, but our insects are pretty cheap. I'd look at mealworms, superworms, crickets, locusts/grasshoppers, and even captive roaches like dubia roaches. I've seen people offer them frozen and thawed mice as well.
Fishing shops will often have mealworms and sometimes superworms, that's what I fed to my lizards for a while
(Farm supply/feed stores too
not over here since over here it's actually against the law to use living bait since a couple of years now
I think they may eat them dried as well if you would need them online
Oh wow
yea, only rubber worms or those fake fishes, usually only with single hooks as triple hooks are forbidden as well
You may be able to buy dried mealworms and even crickets, those are probably more expensive and have less nutrients but would probably sustain a blue tongue
But I have to go, good luck with your reptile journey!
heh ok and thanks for the tips man 🙂
Mouse fuzzie, most def.
I will say: please do not feed outside prey to reptiles you have paid money for
You don't know what they have touched insofar as bug repellents or even crawled through, say, some motor oil
Or they can harbor parasites - which are now in your reptile
Or, like the kid who fed his bearded dragon a lightning bug. Brought it to us at the pet store while sobbing because the lizard went grey and then black and when he handed it over to me to run outback to try and make it throw up/flush it's mouth, it basically died in my hand
But. For blue tongued skinks, start by reading things like this: https://www.everythingreptiles.com/blue-tongued-skink/?utm_content=cmp-true
hmm, tbh i didn't think that far since there's always swarms of birds feeding their bellies round on those bugs, same for my neighbors chicken and never saw any of them behaving sickly but yea, guess i'll think of safer alternatives then if you say that it might kill them =/
wouldn't want my first pet in ages to die just because i tried to safe a couple bucks on feed >_<
Yeah. Honestly, dubia roaches are pretty easy to house and you can breed them fairly easily too
(Not that you want to, just saying you can)
xD
my mother would probably kill me if she learned that i'm breeding cockroaches xD
or any other kind of bug at that, she outright hates all of them except for rhino and hercules beetles (even tho she finds those flying menaces annoying) xD
Well, Dubias are great! They don't fly - and keeping them in a dark, smooth sided plastic tote prevents them climbing.
And if you ever DID get an escapee - they don't colonize like the American and German roaches
well, it's more about the fact how they move, my mother really hates them for that, so if she ever visits i'd probably have to hide them in a place she'd never think of looking at 😅
and yea, my mom can be rather nosy xD
pfft yea, that's the stuff my mom tends to rummage through when she's bored xD
just because i usually keep my old book collections in those so they won't collect any dust
but now that i think about it, it might be a nice jump scare for her if she ever get's annoying 😏
Evil
those things are a Bitch™️ to open
It's true
All the more reason a roach colony would stay put
Can't escape what cannot be opened
i'd probably take some like this just with a non-see-through bottom
easy to open but safe enough when closed

Oh.. Well.
How do you think we GET the pretty photos
More cookies duh

Zorro is the cat who lives upstairs and sounds like a 3 pack a day smoker
lol
Don't smoke catnip kids. * Takes deep breath* Or you'll be like me.
They're really sweet tbh. Absolutely loves a scratch and will let me let them in or out of the building
Always headbutts keeonah in the chin
lol
Okay This might make me sound stupid
but how to you pronounce Keeonah
because I pronounce it like qinoa
Ok
That's probably not reassuring to you but for me I now don't try to pronounce it several times
LOL
All good. Keeonah is too close to Fiona -
and everyone here in Austria knows Fiona... and so calls her that
and I need to correct it 😂
Fiona!
Nein, Keeonah.
Fiona?
Nah nah... Ki-ona.
Keenwah?
Keeeee ohhhhhh naaaaahhhh
Kee-noah?
"good enough"
no they can - they just need to Override the F with K
and its spelled weird for sure, given the way they pronounce words
Slap wore out after a long day of play
What a distinguished gentleman
OMFG i WANT IT
She's a 14 yr old chichwawa with extreme separation anxiety and has no reef so her toung always sticks out

All the nap photos were definitely us napping together LOL

We had a dog park and it used to be a church yard and it was growing hedges for years and when they finally got cut we found the dead body if a girl who went missing for 13 yr and then we found out that she was buried there and a grave robber robbed the valuables of the dead body 💀
We don't go there no more
The first pic i saw for a second and deadass thought it was a turkey

Omgggg
Yep! Snowflake Bobwhite
Mutation of the Mexican Speckled Bobwhite
I wish I could have a bobwhite
I'm pretty sure I'd need to get a permit here since they're a native bird
Permits arent hard to get! They just cost money
for some the money would be considered hard to get 😉
I was going to get a permit to have california quail but ended up not getting them
decided to stay with cots instead
yep
i mean i fully understand and accept licenses that require a form of test to ensure the people are capable of handling the animal etc in question, but having licenses that just cost money for literally no reason other than "just because" it's really just frustrating
..wat
My boyyyyy
what what? o_O
It's not a "just because" purchase haha
Licensing ensures that you are legally owning and handling the animals, and if you're ever inspected by state and conservation groups - you have this paperwork stating it's allowed and legal and all is well
Then you know, they can't fine you - sometimes very heavy fines - for having on deck an animal that legally can't be held captive otherwise
and that's basically "just because" licenses because if the animals are legal to own in general why would you need to waste money on a paper stating so?
....that's just it, they aren't legal in all states -
What works in Indiana might not work in Kansas etc
i mean seriously, like i said earlier, if a license requires a test to ensure you're actually capable of handling the animals in questions i'm all for it, but other than that it should be papers for the specific animals in question and not just because licenses
Gamebird licenses, and licenses to own animals thatre considered "exotic" in the state the permit is in is not just buying it just to have it they hound you for information, you need to renew that information every year along with your permit
well, that would fall in the reasonable field, if they're actually checking if you're capable
but i know there's quite a few licenses that are basically just go there, pay a bill and you've got it, literally like a fishing ticket
and that's what i mean with "just because" licenses
And there are different licenses depending in the amount of said animal and what you plan to do with them, they are very specific and requiring a liscence/permit is a bit harder than just going out and getting one, you need go speak with your local fish and game about it they're better at explaining the process
In NH if I wanted a raptor species it was first stated that I would have property space sufficient for safe flight, and then a suffiectly sized enclosure with flight cage - and night quarters
If that wasn't up to par when they made the first check, scrap it all and start again
yea, like i said, that's the reasonable ones then^^
you just made it sound like it's just paying for them and that's it @spark cave
I won't claim to be as versed for gamebird species
But I can't imagine it's too different from raptorial
I'm not sure how I made it come out that way, and like I said, your local fish and game can explain it better, im going off of a phone call I had with mine about a year ago
And also it's almost 3am the brain is a bit more mushy than usual, lol
Lmao
well, for me this literally reads like "all you need is money and you're fine" more or less, but then again, might just be a translation error on my part so sorry for the confusion =/
Ohh I see what I said back there lol
Yeah I was wrong i kinda spaced the whole process for that and this convo helped me remember 🐐🐐
I think they come and do in person checks for gamebirds as well
heh ok, yea, there you at least have the reason for my confusion xD
Tyk raptor arc
🦅
I looove the little guys (kestrels?)
These guys
👀
You must show me if you ever end up with either
I would love to learn about raptors and the whole process of training them and actually using them to hunt but man I got a lot on my plate rn lol
my dog Apollo in game
Not sure I can accomplish this goal now that I'm in Austria, but I'll keep ya posted if ever!
my dog, her name is kuma (it means bear in japanese)
Cool moahawk
What?
Very stylish
Ooo
She has a kinda deflated moahawk
super cute bear cub for sure 🥹

I LOVE THE PEEG
Looks just like my brothers but black and white
the work never ends
he looks so smol
its cos the grass is so big
He needs a head pat
He gets those every time he does anything
What
Haven't shared a potato in a bit
ohohoh
Good potato
Is that popcorn?
looks more like pressed cotton pellets or something
hmmm can't tell
this kinda stuff
Hmm okay
at least looks like it to me
Yeah it's a fiber-type bedding
I kept my guineas on the paper and fiber bedding and I'll say straw works way better
Straw doesn't hold moisture and get as nasty as other bedding
Yeah
Pretty much only thing you need to worry about is it getting in your peeg's eye which I don't think happens that much.
King Snoop! 🫰
Happy laps
ok, for the sake of that carpet please tell me you can actually potty train rabbits 🤨
yes
theres still the occasional little pellet here and there but those are just territorial markings which only have like 1 or 2
and they're dry so that removes a whole lot of nastiness
well, the pellets were actually the least of my concern, the pee would be what's really getting nasty on a carpet like that^^
Flynn needed a bath. He was not amused.
He has death in his eyes ☠
My dude was very emphatic in his protests and wished to remind us all that his ancestors were velociraptors and he's capable of the same kind of violence they were
Rabbits actually will litterbox train themselves.
It's ridiculously easy
I love Flynn. Reminds me of my Ecto
It’s easier than cats since European rabbits which are the ancestors of domestic rabbits actually have set areas in the burrows that act as a toilet
Yes.
Want a super fun option?
Puppy pee pads on the bottom, felt/fleece on the top
They pee and it goes right through to the pee pad and is absorbed, you can dustpan the lil poo pellets or you can leave the fleece a couple days and rotate in a clean one while the dirty one goes in the washer
When I was working the pet store we would board pets for people while they would vacation and that was the most popular gpeeg set up I would see come in
🙈
Hmm might try that
Wakey Wakey time for school
I will say, when we were watching them, we would take the fleece and shake it off so they didn't just have free piles of lil poots everywhere
PeegRock
Yeah
Remi or "Weirdo of the night" as I call him. My little dude.
He's precious and I love him
He and his brother Kenzie are my absolute favorite little dudes ever. They're just a pair of goobers 100% of the time.
Haha I love it. More birb content!
Random question. So how often or when should you bathe your bird?
I never thought you had to bathe them?
@unborn shard it took searching three discords, but here is Hugh Lori
Haha, how old are they? This is Domino, I birdsat them at work for a couple weeks while we helped their owners find a family to place them in. Domino was like 19 at the time -
weeeeeiiiird

I mean, Milo has his vaccines, and she's due hers - but yes
he was more panicked that his puppo had a booboo
but yeah, vet tomorrow. Poor old lady gonna get hit with some bees
Woo!#
Kenzie: Smol n vry cute
Flynn: DON'T YOU DARE POST THAT PICTURE OF ME ONLINE, DAD
Got to call the vet Monday for Rufus
Still waiting for these 2 to detach
he looks like he's got the iq of a cheeseburger
You're weirdly the polar opposite of correct. She's the smartest dog I know, she just be lookin goofy with her bruised up and swollen muzzle
Don't insult people's pets.
i'm nut insulting people's pets
Really? #🦝︴pet-pics message
guess i dont have the right of free speech then
Not when you say someone's pet looks like they have the iq of a cheeseburger. Just be nice
Boomer and cheeseburger ☺️

Aaaand you clearly never saw Bambi 🤦♀️
i sure saw it over 2 decades ago, just talking about the actual meaning of that statement 😏
I never seen it

He's got a grouchy old man beard
Lmao
What species is this? 😂
At first I thought it was some sort of goat but those horns look to be growing different that a goats horns...
I googled them both and they both kinda have the neckbeard thing going on
But this rusa sorta looks closest out of all the deer chinstraps I just stared a t
No.
He got murked by a racoon last year
Sambar are like the size of elk or like similar in size but I also thought the same.
Haven't seen the racoon since but I'm blowing his ass up with triple 0 buckshot when I see him again
My new rabbit pen has even racoon proofed
*been
I had one die to old age a looong time ago then I burried him and then the coyotes dug him up.
nice
Had a coyote or fox dig up one of my goats the other day
Can I see it? 👀
dang
Won't be much left to see 🤣
Mmmm wdym?
Like is it no longer in existence or like underground.
Oh wait
Sorry I'm stupid
I meant to reply to the rabbit pen message
Ight
You can't see but the top does lock. It's a sliding top roof door my cousin has a racoon and he helped test it
There's more toys in there now
And tunnels and stuff
Oooh nice
That's just when I tossed him in first day to make sure he couldn't get out
Nice
I wanted to make a rabbit pen that was similar in shape for mine but he died before then
There's also wire on the sides it's not just open pallets
I made that one out of scrap wood and scrap sheet metal
Nice.
I just put waterproof stain over it
Smart
So chonky
I also added ankther layer of rabbit wire on the inside of the pallet side to stop him from chewing the wood. That Pic was taken before I did that
New Zealand rex mix
Neat
Same breed as the one that got killed by a racoon
Favorite breed? Or are they like the most common breed to get?
My old 2 rabbits
Been years since I had one so was just wondering
I also had a 3rd one but she had sudden rabbit death syndrome or whatever it's called. It's where they drop dead for no apparent reason
She was the sister of the spotted one
Woah, that's weird guess I'm reading up on that tonight.
It's called something else but you get the concept
Idk if it's genetic or what
But the brown rabbit was my favorite
Might be quite the rabbit hole to go down. 😉
I can see why
Indeed
I wish I had pics of mine
What did he look like
He was white with black spots. He had some kind of hip dysplsia so he walked funny.
Vets never knew what to do about the hip thing
They said it wasn't causing him any pain so
Yeah sometimes they have issues that just don't cause pain
I love rabbits. I'm hoping I can get one of the free pet neuter clinics to neuter him soon bc exotic vets charge a ton
They count as exotic?
No but only exotic vets really work either them
So they are a weird in between
Like technically they are classed as livestock
According to govt laws and regulations
Hmmm
Sambar deer
Ahhh thank you!!

You should what my house looks like when they get drinks
Probs the same as my grandpa's when he was watching the Bassett for a friend of his
Fenrir the saga! I found this crow outside, he followed me and really needed help. So i stepped up when no one would. I cleaned his wounds and fed him, he seems to be recovering nicely
(I don't recommend you do this, please always contact your local bird shelters first! Ours were too busy and i have experience)
Adventure boy
Is he a crow or a jackdaw? He got them bluish grey eyes and head/ beak shape
That said, I love him and would give him so many snuggle
Their face: 😑
Ye probably jackdaw my bad, was pretty tired
And i try to not snuggle him too much hahaha i am planning on releasing him at some point
Your stronger than I lmao. I'd have a best friend and we'd go on all the adventures
While i'd love that, it wouldnt be fair to him nor would my landlord appreciate it
Haha understandable. I've raised and fledged enough yard birds to know the mess they can make on a small scale. Much less a mid sized lad like him 🤣
His happy lil sleepy eye
Honestly, I desperately want a large breed pigeon, but they too are dust machines
🥹 ❤️
🤣 🤣

Sorry I fell asleep. Their timor pythons
For sure one right there 😂
bros cracked
@main topaz you might like these
You are right, I do like these
I figured you didn't see them, so I tagged you. Hope you don't mind
I just have to hope their not as stress prone as others of the species. These are 3rd generation captive bred so im hopeful.
First CB pair I've seen in the US so I may have splurged on them.
If your asking price they were 900 usd each
@shadow pagoda do you own any venomous snakes?
No, I have had bad experiences with them so i don't want to even try
If they breed I probably can. Problem is they don't typically breed until they're 7 years old
Their normally like 1500 for a female. So buying a pair saved me money
Oh okay. I wouldn't want to ever own one. Let alone snakes. But I've been interested about the procedures for the snake raising.
Okay, if you have any questions feel free to ask
Thank you.
They are absolutely stunning to look at. Photo of an adult off Google
So what species do you raise and try to breed then?
Right now I have ball pythons. I also have but don't breed a bullsnake and ratsnake
Okay very nice. Do they get live prey or dead prey?
The ones I ordered are called timor pythons
Okay
Frozen thawed. Basically dead that you warm up for them
Okay. Why do people prefer dead prey instead of live prey?
Good question, basically less risks. A live prey item can fight back, I've seen snakes killed by rats
Oh wow
Actually happened to a friend of mine
Oh that's a very good reason.
Yep rats have sharp teeth and claws. Not good if they want to fight back
Yeah. I've seen people with venomous snakes feed them live prey. Is that because the snakes are venomous
Sometimes. It's mainly for the humans safety at that point. It's harder to get a snake to eat a prekilled item. So you have to wiggle it. I've been bit while feeding many times
Why snakes
Yeah. Even a non venomous snake bite does not sound fun
It's not as bad as you'd think. Unless it's a big python or colubrid their teeth are quite small. It's like getting pricked with a needle for a bite
Half the time it doesn't even draw blood
Oh okay.
A colubrid. Isn't that like coral snakes or something like that. Oh milk snakes?
It's anything in the coulbrid genus. So like corn snakes, milk snakes, bull snakes, king snakes etc
Most all of the united states non venomous are colubrids if that makes sense
I think we have like a handful of boas and 1 python
Okay. I think my favorite non venomous snake is would be a Hog nosed snake. I know technically it is venomous but not dangerous for humans. My favorite venomous snake is the Gaboon Viper.
Hognose are adorable, have you seen them play dead?
Only is pics.
In. Not is.
They are so dramatic. I used to call them chubby sausage snakes.
They do look pretty funny when they play dead.
If you want I'd recommend looking up a video it's hilarious
Sure yeah.
I love when the person recording, tries to turn it over to encourage it to resume normality - and it immediatly flips ovr again
"nono, I ded."
They are so over dramatic. It's adorable
Dunno where the pet is in this one
Def the pet helmet
This is my pet. Lol.

Noice
When you try to take a Pic of the goldfish and he say no
Was cleaning his pond and he ungrateful
One cozy pupper
Okay left to right who is who
The picture where there’s two of them, Rascal is on the left and River is on the right. The one in the picture by himself is Ryu.
I think this is the first time it's been pics of their faces and them not buried or moving
😂 I can memorize them now
They’re very hard to get good pictures of when they are awake. They’re not very photogenic that way. 😂
We used to like
Hold something they wanted
Usually chicken
And trick them into reaching for it
Otherwise all the pics I have are like... Rocko stealing a beer bottle and dragging it behind the TV stand
Or Casey snatching a sneaker and dragging it by the laces
Or Howie biting tf out of someone
Oh goodness lol. I may have to try a toy or something to get the boys to stay still for a picture.
Rocko and Casey were mine, and were (for ferrets) fairly trained
Dad bought Howie from petco and did none training beyond getting him to let go
And still never managed it
Full WHEEEP WHEEEP
