Giving me that “give me some food” side eye
more like dare to touch me and you'll know the meaning of "death from the ankle down" 😅
Lol
25 mins into her first pool day
So careful about getting in on a slippery pool deck 😭 what a good girl.
Your dog looks so cute
And with no worry in the world and living the best life lmao
Like she just looks so happy
Thank you! I do my best to appease her
Very pretty and happy girlie.
Top is da best
He’s lovin’ that elk antler
Only the best for him
Of course
Pretty doggo
Overrun with nuggets
What's the dark rooster? Reminds me of a dorking
Nice cock
🤨
Black and silver maran :^
Oh my gosh I've never seen that morph before
I had a blue, a lavender and a blue copper at different times
Yeah tbh I had no clue they existed until the breeder mentioned he had them so I gave it a shot. Ended up being the prettiest bird in our flock as well as our only rooster
Nice Cock
Running from the feds
Expectation vs reality
Anyone want some kitten pics :)? Theres 4 of em even tho she clearly looked like she was gonna have atleast 7 🫣 but they are some big kittens anyways
Uhm yes. What kind of question is that?
Gib us the kippens!
Babies!
He just flopped on me
He isnt my pet just a friendly stray cat
Bro you just got adopted
Our slenpy boys
I love them 5evr
Noic3
His goals are beyond my understanding
eyes are nutritious, it just wanted to remove the protecting armor 😏
Mf thinks he’s a raptor 😔
well, micro raptors existed and were around that size if i'm not totally mistaken 😛
We need more calves!
Cockatiels are smaller than the current supposition of weight and height for microraptors - but honestly they have the heart of a tiny Dino so I mean, same diff
Here :) oh forgot to reply- anyways
well, one could write them off as a tiny breed of micro raptors, just like pugs etc still count as dogs rather than rodents 😏
I meant to post this in reply, to show you my duo
The budgie has since passed, but the tiel is rehomed and living with an ex coworker back in the states
Microraptor was about the size of a small chicken! :) aspiring paleontologist here :D
Now... are we talking bantam, game or small standard bird
Or serama
😂
Because one of those is a tiny chicken and the rest have small size and smaller size variations
Oh lord idk, Probably a little bigger than a bantam? I've seen those s I think that would be the most accurate
being a gremlin? looks mighty chilled to me xD
For notation, Serama are about the size of a 10z can of soda
Yeah way bigger than that XD
No no, she's a gremlin. Trust me
I like that the silhouette is all "hey hi howdy neighborino"
I need birbs
I think everyone needs birds 🙂
A good morning alarm
English budgies are fairly simple, and terribly affectionate
False. They are all hours alarms. If something is wrong they alert the flock
Even better
but they is expensive
This depends on your bird of choice
F.i. chickens and ducks and generally turkeys aren't expensive birds
Quail are also great birds, as are fancy pigeons
Budgies and the American Budgies are probably the cheapest (unless you get real fancy with breed specifics like the hagoromo)
We raised bobwhite quail for a while.
But once you start broaching past green cheek conure, you start seeing dollar signs left and right
I've acknowledged I'll never have one of the macaws I want
Not with a price tag minimum of 15k wt least
For a bird?
Yeeeup
It's an unfortunate side effect of the bird being uncommon, on top of wild population declining - so the prices jump on the breeding trade population
It's stupid, but I understand the grift
There are some listed online for like 7 or 10k, but generally scams
Still have two
Aw. I hope they place, soon!
Man, Pyrenees are such great dogs
She is adorable
looks like she just wants to keep chilling there tho and is that a bone or a bottle at the step below her? 😏
love themb
I'm pretty sure Kenzie (the blue budgie in my pic) can actually perfectly understand the things I say to him. Like nearly 100% of the time his reactions to them are perfectly in line with what I say to him, so much so that I'm legit convinced lol.
Flynn (the cockatiel) is a chonkasaurus who keeps going into Kenzie's cage during free flight time, to try and steal as much food as he can. A few days ago I walk up to the cage as he's doing this while Kenzie sits inside, staring dejectedly at Flynn as he stuffs his face. I just look at Kenzie and say "You know you don't have to take that from him, right? You can tell him to F off. I'll back you up."
This bird looks at me. Looks at Flynn. Looks back at me. Looks back at Flynn. Then pecks the back of his head and starts screaming at him.
So I kept my word and scooped Flynn up to remove him from the cage, much to his chagrin
So yeah. Now I assume that when I'm talking to Kenzie, I'm talking to someone who actually understands me. It's less like talking to a pet and more like talking to a kid at this point and I've just got to live with that.
Birds are freakishly smart
Archimedes, my budgie, was very good at perceiving what I would say. Ecto, the tiel, really not so much
she had one braincell I stg
Sleepy fuzzy noodles
what kind of lizard of tiju? I've never seen a lizard like it.
it's so cute
(Looks like a Madagascar day gecko)
Bone
sick
best buds
I want to squish it and give it kisses and never let go
This is Miko. He's a Mittelspitz. Apparantly popular for hunting some places but this one is a ball of fluff and snuggles and a devourer of stuffed toys.
giant day gecko
hes still a teenager
Dog
His eye omgggggg
neat
The teefs in the zoomed in one haha
totally stoned even after waking up 😅
These r the best pics of my dogs
Dog with her friends
Did you clone your dog?
She has turned into a old toothless lady 😅
What a refined gummy lady
Lovely!
let me see if I can find a photopgraph of my dog on pc.
Will look in a bit on my phone, currently at work.
Nah
this is him haha, pictures taken by my dad except for the one standing in the water @main topaz
Oh God hahaha
He looks so dribbly with all that hair 🤣
Also yeah, looks like 15-20kg tops
What camera does your dad use for photos? Because those are great shots
Pff I am not sure about that, believe he uses a Nikon not sure what kind, and a 600mm. Not sure which lens either lol.
All good haha, I'm super beginner with photography - but I very much appreciate a beautiful shot
No way he's 15kg I've caught fish weighing that and they were heavier then him
Nice! Welcome to the club I make wildlife photographs myself.
Not much in lieu of wildlife in my immediate area, the 5 Roe deer I've seen in 5 years have been so scattered and on accident 🤣
I stick to plants, bugs and my dog for the time
lovely
she still is very distinguished, even without teeth.
she has quite the hole there
So that is in the dog park, and someone has dug a bunch of new anklebreakers
and because the city refuses to upkeep the park (stupid Kira, the arsehole pitbull whos bitten people a kid and other dogs - has broken one of the fence posts lunging at a dog, so the whole thing sags into the walking path), there's a bunch of overgrown weeds and ribbon grass hiding half of them
5 or 6 in the immediate area Keeonah is in in that photo
at least 6 more hidden in the grass
damn
yeah, and I mean, I get it - dogs dig
Is there are a way to make the city go and work on the park?
Keeonah LOVES to crawl into that one and become a lil crab, defending her pit
but also if dogs are gonna dig, at least make sure everyone can see the danger
My friend Sara's dog, Eileen (a west highland white terrier) is like 12 years old, pretty deaf and half blind
she was trotting up to us and just disappeared because she didnt see one and trotted into it 😂
bless her soul, the lil things like a baby hippo, just solid, and it wasnt a severe drop (10") but still
No idea, tbh. I'm sure folks could call - but when they're doing so much elsewhere idk if the park is high in their priorities
Personally I'd mow it all, and then take a tiller in, in the open areas, and 'mulch' up the earth
Tiller may be good but if it rains right after there'd be a bad problem.
Tilling some of it then putting either grass or gravel on it would be, at least I think, a good plan
like sod maybe
gravel isn't exactly a surface you'd want dogs running and playing on tho
true
Yeah, the gravel wouldnt fly
and realistically, the amount theyve dug up
and how much it's rained here
like, I stg April had MAYBE 5 dry sunny days
quite wet
grass would be trampled within days as well, so i'd use either just dirt or sand
might not be ideal but at least cost efficient and won't put their paws at risk
Dirt would be good. I bet some areas though could do with with grass though. Grass is pretty cheap to buy (at least in the bag of seeds)
would require the area to be closed off for weeks tho otherwise it won't even grow
Eh, the area with majority of the giant holes is all dirt tho
so like, mow where the small ones are, the ankle breakers
and churn up the dirt where the big ones are
It's most cost efficient and no need for replanting or re seeding
Not just closed off, but sod tarped as well, to prevent the birds eating the seeds haha
yea, seriously, the only viable way to get grass into a highly frequented dog park would be on rolls and that stuff isn't exactly cheap and still requires a few days to actually stick
It's called sod
but yeah you'd still have to block of a portion of the park for it for a bit
They'd dig right through sod haha
the people who frequent the park literally give no fricks about their dogs or anything
I used some for my dogs in their pen and it took before they dug it up. It just has to stick before it's going to get used.
I literally cant take Keeonah there when tohers are in the park because before we even reach the gate, all of them come barrel assing to the fence and start their clown fiesta of barks and snarls and god forbid Kira's in the batch, she sets them all to fence fighting in a heart beat
usually I can get Keeonah to greet and meet a dog if its just one
the owners just sit there smoking and drinking beer that they leave all the trash for on the two benches and dont recall their dogs
the worst of it was one time Keeonah was trying to defend me
and I picked her up and physically moved her, and one dog was so crazy trying to fight that it got its jaw stuck in the fence
damn
Isn't there are rule that you can't bring aggressive dogs to the park? I know that's a thing around me.
Yeah. Yeeah there is. It says it right on the sign I think, to keep your dog under control
but the idiots just let them run wild and crazy and because they're all n a pack, they hype each other up
Ah but nobody is there to enforce it huh?
so like if the chihuahua goes off, then the labs are snarling
then the pits
and the husky
and weimerainer
its dumb
Nah. We go past the park and I take her to the swimming parts of the brook if it's nice enough
And we go walk through the woods
Just heard snoring
lol
lucky
Am I though? I have enough fur to make a beard and glue it to my face now.
yeah but once begun is half done
...at the rate this ho be movin
its gonna take her til my birthday
I see
my dog used to sleep like that when he was like 1-2 months old
i could find the pic
brb
Aw haha
omfg i found it
it looks sooo dumb
bro im just casually finding baby pics of my dog
@main topaz
LOOK AT THAT BAKED BEAN
oh mah gawd
can u believe that thing bit my hand open to the point that blood was almost flowing out of my hand
Yes
I wants to cuddle and squeeze it
puppies have razors for teeth
it didnt feel good
casually just blood flowing down my arm
idk what happend to my dogs teeth
i suppose he swallowed them
yeah most of them. We've got a couple that she didn't swallow.
She has like a couple of teeth that she still has to lose but they're going to come out any day out
how old is she?
Hmmm
8 months now?
let me ask my mom. I don't really care about dog ages so I don't know.
my dog is 1 year old by the end of the summer
...Keeonah's 10. 😂
None breed
his moms a marble tabby of street cat heritage
his dads a monsterous black and white fluffy thing of street heritage
honestly, his face is different, its a bad angle
lemme find a better image
She is 5 months old
She is going around the house carrying it
ouch, whenever i see something like that my own teeth start to hurt >_<
Lol. I'll let her carry it as long as she doesn't chew on it.
at least get a rubber coating around the rim^^
the fur looks almost identical to my dogs lol
holy shit thats alot of cato pics
That'd only entice her to chew on it more and even take the rubber off of it.
there's more, those are just the best ones to show off his cheekbones and jaw structure
your cat has rounder cheeks hehe
She doesn't do it that often, soon as I find her friggen bone she hid she'll stop carrying it around.
well, it at least would prevent some serious teeth problems if she ever get's spooked while carrying it around
"Father I must chew. find the bone. please."
bottom left is the best
he's a total spaz
your right huh
she has black skin around her lips that make her look like she's goth
When Nonah was a pup, she hadnt grown the fur on the front of her lips on top and bottom
and it looked like she had dark lipstick on, in 💋 shape
One has me in it and not comfortable showing my face.
goth girl dooog lmao
( no offence )
she looks very cute
Thanks. I think it's a vibe. Mom talked about maybe having a goth name for her before she decided on lilly.
i found another baby pic of my doog
😭
this was when we were checking out the puppies
so precious
i told my mom i want that one because he was different from others
he was smaller than others
almost doesnt have a tail 💀
rut of the litter
Don't they dock their tails? Or is it now in their breeding?
not a pug
pugs dont get docked though?
like he literally doesnt almost have a tail
French bulldog yeah but I though they docked tails?
i suppose yes if they have tails
They do. They'll have long tails sometimes short tails if they're docked.
not when the dog has a little ball of fur for a tail
Huh... Never have seen a pug need a tail docking
They'll dock tails or ears when they're only a few weeks old though because the nerves aren't developed yet.
Honestly I hate it, but what can I do?🤷
some breeds I understand the necessity of it
but a healthy crop not that gnarsty 'look at this mutilation' version
yesh
aight brb gotta go find him
send one
Same. I just don't get the ears though.
the heck is the point of this?
so cute
lol
found an article about it.
Was interesting
Mostly talking about how it's a cosmetic thing and brings no health benefits
Usually done to make the dog more imposing which doesn't help with their bad wrap.
I can understand though for a guard dog
but for those who do it just to make your dog more scary is kinda dumb.
animal abuse at it's finest, that's what it's all about
if they have thing ear leather, even shaking their head too hard can give them hematomas, damage them irrevocably
wanna hear a story about my dad and his old dog?
and give them the same thing boxer (humans) get when they get punched in the ear too hard
oooh okay
So.. thin leathered dane ears, clipping is adventageous
but only enough to remove the weight
not like, high and tight skinny bean military clip
or abomanations liek that pit up above
I would be concerned though of your dog getting ear infections more easily and just gunk getting into their ears easier.
i'd be more concerned about them losing an important tool of communication, but yea, health risks come right after that
basically
my dad and his friends were chilling outside
my dad went to check what the dog was doing alone in the house
my dad found the dog chewing on his nokia
the dog broke it
lol
damn
ahhh I see
these devils
i remember him saying that it once attacked my older brother too
like launched at my brothers arm
I met a lady at an cancer center with some really well trained dobermans.
and another mutilated dog, great >_<
I asked her a bunch of questions about the breed and training and it basically came down to the breed requires a lot of training and aren't an everyday house pet.
so do basically all bigger dogs with a lot of energy
They are in that group of dog breed really is meant to look scary and used in dog fights and used as guard dogs.
yeah
ig my dad didnt train his doberman enough lol
Yeah
I really wanted a doberman at one point but the expenses of owning one and the amount of training I didn't have time for made it out the question. Deff a breed I wouldn't get.
my boston terrier is really friendly
its just that if u make him angry he will bite
yeah
and he doesnt like when u lift him many times
like literally every dog
Respect your dogs space and make it so they don't really have a reason to bite or attack you.
most of the times im at fault for getting bit
but the other times
my dog stole something
i try to take it out of his mouth
i get bit
My mutt has a thing with ears so I try not to touch his ears or rub them excessively.
Ah, resource hoarder
yes
still your fault for not training it well enough tbh
My ex used to grab and tweak keeonahs ears to discipline her when he was being kind
I just pinch them on the butt.
hes under a year old?
hes young and will bite sometimes
Works sometimes. I try not to use painful methods, mainly it upsets the dog and me.
that's where the training as to who's got the say should be nearly completed
Common in puppies. Still smart to get some training in. Like saying ow loud and high.
It's how dogs will gauge how hard to bite when playing.
False. Dogs should train their whole lives - the training can always be improved and they can always learn
I do it with my dogs and they're quite good at learning not to bite hard. Except Lilly sometimes forgets but she is a puppy.
^^
i'm talking about them learning who has the say in the house, not that there's no further training after that, literally the most basic training should be completed before they reach 1 year old
Even today, knowing how Keeonah is around other dogs and needing to feel like she has to protect me, Ive been integrating 'Watch me!!' excitedly while offering her a treat when she responds. At this point theres 3 dogs who she reacts to if you arent quick enough
since the longer you wait with that fundamental part the more likely it becomes that you'll end up with a spoiled brat that won't listen at all
and if you train an dog then after the training is done and don't reward them for good behaviors and just expect them to do things they will stop doing it. They aren't getting rewarded with pets or treats for doing something so why should they keep doing it?
This depends on the breed - Bostons are a terrier and they are nicknamed terrorists for a reason. Stubborn little shxts
all the more reason to get that training in as soon as possible
they, among other smaller breed, require twice the real training time
the earlier you start the easier it is in the long run
That is true but you shouldn't ever stop.
my dog mostly listens to my mom but i think hes getting better at listening to me and my other family members
but whenever my dog manages to steal a napkin he wont give it away easy
its like a treasure to him
well, once they know who's boss when it counts you can train them for other stuff, sure, but normally you won't have to continue training them in that specific part, similar to getting them potty trained
I dont disagree with this. But also, that he's just under a year doesnt surprise me that he's still learning.
and what if it takes my dog longer to learn? its not like me or the dog is at fault
I get that. My pitty mix does the same thing. I just have to grab her though and tell her to drop it and she does.
No, it just means it takes longer to learn something. I'm still trying to get my older dog to learn lay down. He gets the down part but doesn't stay down and that's a work in progress.
my dog can sit and lay already C:
I shifted keeonah away from jumping by teaching her hugs
its just that he has to work on listening
-_- gud 4 u.
she jumps upwards and balances long enoughf or you to put out an arm
My pitty knows to sit and lay down already but my mutt
but not without a treat lol
and she links her legs over the arm and leans into you
AWESOME
I did the same with my dog.
Now he only "Hugs" with consent
when he stops really fast his rear legs lift up with his bum lmao
lol
nose braking, eh? xD
the cat stopped really fast
dog couldnt stop fast
dog ran straight over cat
lol
lol
its like the thing u can do on those trick motorcycles
brake with the front brakes and the behind wheel lifts up
you can do stoppies on basically every motorcycle, it just comes down if you can handle it or not xD
Hogging the futon
cute
we are going to go visit my grandma in the countryside
oh theres so much room there for my dog to run around
it's a kinda big futon, not that comfy but it fits in my room.
when it's folded I have room to exercise
that's unfortunately not true. All nerves are there, all pain is felt.
Happy kitty and a Quail
QUAIL QUAIL QUAIL!!
One of my favorite non-typical bird pets
Pigeons are probably first non-typical bird pet
I want quails
Pigeons are gorgeous, if i would ever get any thing other than quail it would be peacocks 😅
Yes
he wants more
No doubt, these bois are full of energy
Are you sure? When I asked the vet about it they said that's why you only can do it when they're a few weeks old. It's also the same for sheep.
His name is Harley!
Very nice name.
Thanks
Is he yours or a friends?
He’s my dad’s. I bring Jaeger over for play dates to keeping him socialized and to help burn off all that energy
Hello Ansel twin
ahhh I see
This is Tommy. He is a chunky boy and he is creepy af.
I love Tommy. I require him for snuggles
Yeah it's not true for sheep either. Or piglets. But there are many economic reasons to keep the myth of "babys don't feel pain yet" around. E.g. Germany and France recently banned the castration of piglets without anesthesia and the transitioning process for farmers is difficult, because it's expensive.
Docking and cropping is always painful and no matter if "it was always done this way", in most cases there is no scientific evidence to benefit the practice.
If you have a dog breed with ear problems, the problem should be solved by breeding, not mutilation.
Sorry for the rant.
You're allowed to have the opinion
My literal only stance for it is when dogs ears get repeatedly damaged by having thin thin skin etc, or like this one dog I saw who kepts scratching his ear and inevitably split it.
the vet he went to made the decision to crop it to stop it being split open again and again
I absolutely cant with folks who declaw their cats
I understand. I stand on when an animal might need it. When you don't do it to sheep it makes it a lot harder to shear so it's just easier to dock tails. For the most part a lot of animals don't need. It's like breeding pugs to have flat faces and making them have medical issues with breathing.
Sunbathing
lol
I call it sunspotting for my dog and cat haha
Why does he look like hitler
wtf are you on lmao
Look at the black mustache
wouldnt call it hitlers mustache
Well
I wouldnt even call Hitlers mustache lets call it Charlie Chaplin's instead
Idk he weird
Typical American saying anything with a small mustache is hitler
Exactly
Lets just stop bringing him up
Ok
No he doesn't.
You might wanna move these, grizzie
All good. I'm back to bed, wanted to grab a drink and make sure the fan was off in the living room
Before Ian everyone freaking out and dog just sun bathing
Dog @main topaz
must resist to boop that nose 😏
she loves the tummy rubs
He really do. I love it
Does he like face rubs or belly rubs more?
He likes when I bongo his back right above his tailhead
I can do that for like 2 mins straight
nice
We had a cat that enjoyed side rubs and neck striches the most. She had some crazy fur that made her all sorts of colors so I called her spice.
Since she reminded me of a spice cabinet
Aw haha
Ssssh! I is furry flower, totally invisible...
So majestic
Whay a beautiful doggo omg
Look at all those ranunculae 💕
Jaeger is a cheater
Bro got 200 IQ
He smart boi

Noodle in the beans
Yep! It’s a dig box since ferrets like to dig.
I just had a stray(?) dog in my gated community thing and he ran at the speed of usain bolt
this doggo made my day
Thank you!
oooooh okay
He missed too
please don't call that disgusting stuff there cheese, thank you^^
Please don't assume all square pre sliced cheese is plastic, thank you^^
(Though I will say that def looks like kraft cheese slices. Arguably plastic in this case)
the way that thing flopped on the ground is proof enough that it's definitely one of those rubber gel thingies^^
Y A W N
Can neither confirm nor deny
I used to trim Ansels nails when he was a kitten
And as a rebellious turd of an adult, he has rendered my trimmers useless. He bites his back nails and sheds his front ones on his scratcher
well, less work for you i guess plus isn't that basically the reason you got a scratcher in the first place?
I got a scratcher so he would leave the blankets and couch alone
Bonus is that it trims his front toes
But still I expected to have to help with the back ones
Instead he just gnaws on them
😅
It's processed cheese. Which I'm not a fan of but technically still cheese. Right of the block is the best cheese.
that analogue stuff isn't actual cheese since cheese actually takes time to ripen meanwhile analogue stuff like that is basically chemically forces to "solidify" and the pressed into shape just to get packed right away withoutt any ripening process
or to use a more devastating example, it's basically solidified spray cheese 💀
American cheese is perfection
Great for catching trout
ew
Not eating
oh
Lmao
lol yeah
But if you eating while sober you are troubled
try catching trout with that stuff, but better not let any ranger see you otherwise you might get fined for pollution
Fair enough lol
I don't want to ever eat spray on cheese
Boop
even on the one you took he doesn't look that pleased by the cam so yea, no surprise he'd jolt xD
Nah nah, he thought I had a treat. I have a hand signal for Keeonah to catch her eyes when photographing - and usually she gets a treat for it
so you basically tricked him with no treat? 💀
he saw her pose, and then lick my hands (for a non existent treat) and he posed similarly and was STARING and MANIFESTING that biscuit
I gave him extreme butt scrubbies and tummy rubs with the talons I've been growing on my tingers
His mom doesnt have long nails, and he was grunting the happy dog grunts when I got up around his neck and shoulders haha
U got 2 dogs?
pfft ok yea, can imagine that quite lively 😅
No, Keeonah is my dog, Milo is a friend from the dog park
No dog parks near me 😭
for as long as it's not littered with burdock i'd say it's a nice place for them to play^^
yummy
the dog we had when i grew up was basically like a truffle pig just for finding bärlauch, was really helpful since it's basically garlic without the smelly aftermath on the next day xD
main challenge was actually to stop him from eating all of it himself 🥲
Man... Literally, the whole dog park, and the woods surrounding it, and the woods by the brook ALL are so full of bärlauch
Folks go out picking with HUGE bags
whut? i wish we had that much over here, heck, in some places gathering it is outright forbidden to keep the population o_O
also side note: garlic, and allium plants (garlic family etc) all have Thiosulfate in them, which is toxic to dogs
Obvi quantity to dog will vary
well, never seen any effects on our big boy back then and he wolfed that stuff down like if it were the best meat ever (and still got 16 years old, which as a pure breed hovawart really is a proud age)
i mean usually they say 10-14 years would be expected 😉
thinking about it, that milo looks awfully like a blonde hovawart, is that correct or is it just a similar looking breed? 🤔
Milo is a Golden Retriever
ah F, always had trouble keeping them apart 😅
They're very similar haha
tell me about it xD
ooooooh
My little guy ❤️
ahahah his names Koda!!
niiiice
Aww
Thank you - we're waiting for her to blow out her coat. I'm not looking forward to it at all
damn
how old is she ?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
GAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
She's ten
Trimming his toenails so I wont
nice
The biggest boyyyy
Yesss
I hope I'm getting somewhere
ohohohoh
How old are the eggs?
also what eggs are they?
Red foot tortoise, they've been in the incubator since Christmas
Yes, Red foots especially. Average is 125-150 days
But they can successfully hatch at 200 days
dang okay
Yeah, it's a waiting game
Are most reptiles like that?
Not to my knowledge. My ball pythons eggs hatched at 55 days
12 total. 10 ball pythons, 1 bullsnake, and 1 king rat snake
The tortoise eggs were given to me by someone who didn't have an incubator
neat
Maligators Gone Wild
Jaeger and Tanner playing ruff
Floor taps sound like tango 💃

Hold your arm out and she hops up - loops her front legs over the arm and turns sideways into your torso
amazing
Gib
no fucking way
Maple is mine now
I hope you can understand
I’m not yours
Maple is kicking my butt, I got maybe half an hour of sleep last night due to crate training.
whats crate training?
trying to get it to enjoy the action of being in a kennel at night rather in your bed as it develops seperation anxiety as they grow. Its mostly because she will be traveling around with me in the later years after growing but its suppose to replicate the thought of a "den or safespace"
She might be missing her siblings, tbh.
With my dad's German Shephard, for the first night I slept with my head and shoulders in the crate because he was whining impossibly loud and I could hear him a floor away. Second night I slept with just a hand in the crate, third night I slept about a foot away
Murphy just needed assurance that there was someone there
Thank you, i did the hand next to the crate last night and it wasnt the best in terms of consistency but i got a playpen and attached it to the crate for tonight to maybe limit the confinement possibility and brought a tv in for some background noise. lets hope for the best, again thank you for advice 🙂
its this guy's 1year birthday today exactly, and calf photos beacuse why not 🤷
Best of luck! It's the hardest time, being Away from all her kin - but she'll come around quickly.
Try making her a nest, and if the breeder gave you Blanket, lay it in the nest
@unborn shard just got some great den photos of Keeonah - retouching them slightly because lighting is not at all good today
It’s so cute I want to hit something
He is deserving of riches
Petey enjoying the sunrise today 💪
a cookie is the perfect bribe.
Sugar glider, looks like
@main topaz no it's a blue tongue
Nice. How many do you have in total?
2
I see
Ok
I was talking about what you replied to - not your lizards
so tiny lol
wow! awesome
Awwwwwwww🥹
😂 no he refuses to be in cloths unless our power goes out
Than and only than he will let us put a onsie on so he isnt cold
He really is 😭 i got him when i was 1 and we have been inseparable
Absolutely nothing behind those eyes 🗣️🔥🔥🔥🔥
i Totally 100% no fake just got a new pet, her name is Joey
My mothers friend in her 20's had one for a rehabilitation program and it would go swimming in the lake lol they are great animals
I love how fluffy Bibu is
silly
so silly
mmm delectable treat
Kilo
She wet
darn dog
Homie says to stop playing classic and play with him
@spark cave Hows the quail lad doing?
I saw a post on IG for a dozen quail egg giveaway from a breeder I follow, and thought of you guys
Oh he's doing alright, spoiled like usual
My internet isn't doing too hot right now so images won't send
Brilliant. Love a spoiled lad
Lol, He's a dork, still wanting kids from him but that's up to him to figure out
Just set up another 100+ egg hatch, it's might be my final hatch for a long time, will be dispersing the entire quailery
Except for a small handful of quail whichre essentially the heart of the quailery
Got a bunch of dairy goat shows ahead including nationals and linear appraisal, about to get busy
Ahah, it sent
The drama leg
Specific colors, or ones you're most attached to?
Knows how to use it too, it's so strange.. he'll be sitting in my lap and he'll tilt over and just hang his leg in the air
Like why 😭
He knows there's a market for feet pics
Just attached to, mainly, I worked on my lines for almost 2 years but the nice thing about quail is that you can get through a lot of generations really quickly
Right right, the whole birds grow up fast thing
One of the people I sold quail too has offered to sent me eggs when I get finished moving
Send*
Yeah the fast growing is very convenient lol
Oh wow, last time I talked in this channel was 2022 I didn't realize it's been that long x_x
That's really kind of them!
Are you moving far or fairly close to current locale?
Any idea what kinda quail you want?
I can't technically have bobwhites, so probably buttons or the cortux. (I can't spell)
I wish I could have bobwhites, but their a gamebird in my state so I'd need a captive wildlife permit
My dog would lick them up like chicken nuggets 🥺😭😭
😋
Any bird I get needs to be of size
My corturnix from when I was in high school
Also to ward off buttface cat
Pretty birds
My biology teacher raised pheasants and he let me put a couple chick's in his brooder
I just love the variety in corturnix
Yeah! I breed color and let me tell you there's definately 100s of variations
They're quiet, large, and smack when they don't want you to touch
😭
My high-school had an aviary for a while, they had a conjure that was so sweet and smart
Ranger just gives the stink eye
Wish I had a picture of him
Conures are fiends wrapped in fathers
I almost got a conure
This one was sweet, he knew tricks and was flight trained. Only issue was how loud he was
Yep that's pretty normal with parrots, never met one that was quiet lol
I'm just sad they sold their tegu. He was nice but too food motivated for kids
Not sure if I've posted these. A relative of mine gave me a pair of axolotls for my school
Oh I could never macaws make me so nervous lol
Basically raised the both of them in the pics lol
They're actually far better tempered than lots of the smaller parrots
One of my high school friends always talked about macaws. She loved them
Also raised these dingle berries and got bit WAY more than the macaws
I love the bottlebrush
The bottlebrush.
Bottlebrush kitty
Poofy tail
Oh
Wow!
Its a cat breed or what?
Lil fellas
Her mom was almost 8 feet
Wish my cat stayed fluffy.
His litter had 6, and he was SO shaggy - lost his baby fur and grew in a short sleek coat
Idk what is buttlebrush
Nah nah. Refers to the fluffy tail, looks like a bottle brush (the scrubby people use to hand wash their water bottles)
oh okay
I thought its a breed
My cat is British longhaired cat
Breed
Here's ouroboro my rat snake
Oh wow, Big fella
They average 8-9 feet as adults
That is Arlo and I was so in love with his ugly plucked chicken lookin self
I'm not sure how I like baby parrots
La Mancha?
I'm so used to seeing little fluffball quail 😭
He had feathers 3 weeks later haha
I think he was 2 or 3 weeks in that video
Thank goodness I wouldn't last long with that look
Yep!
The best (and most spoiled) birds are the ones you raise from chicks yourself (ahem ranger)
Slightly more up to date photo. Took about 4 months ago
She doesn't sit still
Aww what a cutie
What I'm amazed at is how well she does with kids, I've had preschool age kids pet her and she just chills there.
She's one of my educational animals
so derpy so cute
Some snakes are really just super good like that
He issss
Ooo love axolotls. Got this guy from a breeder 2 months ago
The great one
Little lady on the left is pregnant. Fingers crossed for some piebald or T+ albino babies!!
ooooh
Shes given me normals, white face, and Whiteface ringtail mosaics in the past but she's been bred to a new male this time
She was with a normal male het for albino and platinum now she's with a mosaic male het for the same things (he's the brother of the male she was bred to 1st)
I did a female swap with the brothers. My piebald female went with my normal male for a while.
Ohh send photos of them all sometime
Here's the 3rd baby she produced from her 2nd set of twins
Oh believe me I planned on it
I lost this beautiful marbled pied girl last year to a bloodclott. She was only a year old and pregnant at the time as well
Marble mosaic not marble pied my bad
She came from a good friend of mine in Indiana
Shes from some fancy mosaic line I can't remember the name of
This is a normal pet girl of mine not a breeder but she's het fot leucistic
Mom of the one above. She's my leucistic retired breeder
Just a regular pied girl
Normal male rescue. My personal favorite of the bunch
His name is Owen. Most of my gliders have a jurassic world name scheme
