Actually some chick managed to do it but it's rare and you need special things going on and everything needs to BE JUST RIGHT. The goal with the ones that did manage to breed is get crabs that can breed in captivity so they stop taking wild hermit crabs illegally.

So! My dog doesn't like it but I found these little finger cots with ear and eye cleaner on them, so I take one or two per ear and I don't do anything but scratch as if I'm giving her ear scrubbies and it gets the job done

And she loves having her ears scrubbed. She hates the wet feel, but tolerates it for the scrubbies

Fun fact
Russian blues are one of the few naturally formed breeds of cat in the world, no selective breeding. Or at least, no selective breeding before ww2:
When the tsars were still ruling on Russia, this breed was their favourite one and they had the largest population of them in their palace.
Then, when the tsar and his family were assassinated, all those cats were also killed.
By the time ww2 happened, the last litters of russian blues were located in an english cat orphanage. During the war that orphanage was bombed and very few cats survived.
To save the breed, they were bred with siamese cats and then the breed's genetical purity was restored through selective breeding.
So basically the breed was saved by breeding it with siamese cats, but today's russian blues are pure again, as if it never happened.

I would like to throw caution about belly heat, we had someone buy our pastel orange ghost and kept her exclusively on heating pads despite our warning of checking them frequently

#

and he came in like less than a month later and she was just charred from the 'shoulder' to her tailtip

#

it was a long recovery of me slathering her in neosporin and doing vitamin E spray to help her burns slough off

#

I'm surprised, honestly, that she survived

Least of all:
Heatstroke (they can only pant so hard)
Dehydration (and alternatively, water poisoning from gulping too much water/blost from gulping too much water)
Back injuries from over extending their everything to hard
Respiratory distress (imagine an asthmatic needing to run. It can happen, but isn't fun. Will confirm)
And cardiovascular problems - just over exertion of the heart and its arteries
