and she's paying in dollars and coins and I just.. like if you're gonna give someone who is mobile-dependent on others a pet that requires live food etc.. help them out. Esp if it's your mom who lives in the same house as you

Did your cat naturally take to going out? I wanna take Ansel on adventures, but he is (once out on the deck) so not interested in anything else

I got mine when he was only 3 weeks old and he had to go on a long car ride with us same day bc he was so young and needed to be fed, so hes always kind of been used to it. Id recomend if youd like to train him to go out on adventures to take it slow, they dont learn like dogs do. But if you have the option to train your cat to go with you on trips i 100% recommend it, my boy is my best camping buddy

I can definitely give some training tips if youd like!

If your cat likes to go outside, theres a good chance with a little work they will make great adventure buddys

@prime stirrup So I've been with him since day 4, my prior boss is his "grandma" so I pretty much would go to her house immediately after work every day - unfortunately he hates the car unless he's free roaming and every time I've tried to associate a harness he's been so offended bahaha

Okay so what your going to want to do if a harness is an issue is put it on him and give him treats while its on for ab 5 or 10 minutes, make him walk just a few steps for the treats, then take the harness off, he will soon learn to associate the harness with good things, you can introduce a leash from there aith the same treat method

Yes, my boy does chew alot. There are some toys I give him that are for chewers. One toy that he loves is by Tuffy. They're pretty durable.

I know one treat that I heard wasn't good for dogs was Beggin' Strips. The reason why slips me at the moment

Rawhide is... first of all treated chemically to make it so white, and pretty. Second of all - its a flat out choking hazard. When they chew on it, it absorbs their drool a little and gets VERY slippery, and becomes an absolute choking hazard. Like, we're talking just slides down the throat. also, takes a hell of a lot longer to break down once swallowed

Other really good chews: Cow hooves, bison horns, antlers

cow shins (like Jaeger has) plain or stuffed

alternative: check out NoHide chews, they are plant based and therefore easily consumable and break down nicely in the tum.

Is she teething, like losing her baby teeth? Because the reality is that nothing will survive this stage and her gums ache. You could try getting a 'mammoth' brand rope chew, soaking it, freezing it, and letting her nom on it (with supervision) pups often like that cold sensation, just like human babies when they cut their teeth

also leather chews are amazing (look for talltails brand. I am sure there are others, but thats the brand we carried in the store I worked at, and my dog has a couple of their produckts and theyve lasted a hot minute)

Hmm idk it is your choice. I would still give caution. They are an amazing breed and big love birds it's just their care needs is something people underestimate.

My best friend had 3 and all were amazing just they each had their issues. A good bit of money was put into each one. They had puppies at some point and had a smidge bit of difficulty getting them homes.

If you can get one though and can afford it, it'd be cool. Just giant love birds.

to me, the short life span of GDs is really off putting. My dalmatian is now 7 and I feel like we just reached a good point in life when she was nearing 6 years. Yeah. That's the sad part of reality with raising animals. I hated that part with raising pigs. We would have some that were "head shakers" a thing where a nerve in the head was not covered all the way. Thus they shakes their head violently. We had to put a couple of them down because they would disturb the feeding of the other healthy babies. Plus when we tried to bottle feed them they wouldnt take the bottle. There was no way of controlling the head shaking. We tried everything.

Make sure you are misting the enclosure regularly. Don't mist where you have the egg buried directly as the soil will stay damp too long I thing, but mist around it
