Animals can show at various "times" within the "need zone times" so to speak and"leave" within various times. Just cause it says the need zone time says it starts at 8:30 doesnt mean they'll be there right at 830. SRP is prime example. Mule deer drink at 9-930 to 10-1030. They almost always show at 9:45 and then leave at 10 sharp. A few herds stay till 10:30. So the animals can show at virtually any time within the "need zone time" and leave at any time within the need zone time. If that makes sense

after a time reset, I find it generally allow 10-15 mins in game time for the herds to reach their drink zones.
if there is no deer on your 1st spot, fast travel to your next one until u find some, and then circle back to the earlier zones

for your next few runs, try identifying which zones generally get bucks in earlier than others, then work out a routine thereafter.
i know everyone's map is different, for examples, on mine, my first lake is the one in the center (the one where u spawn when u first start), then the Australia looking lake, then the small lake above Australia lake.
if i dont see any deer on a particular lake, i just move on the next and come back later.
on my map, the center lake, i almost always get deer already drinking at the zones after the time reset and by the time i run there from the outpost.
Its not exact science, but it worked for me when i started a more of routine on the rancho grind. 🙂

i still just go M1 because of faster follow ups and i think it has 1 more bullet in the magazine

i was playing on console and decided to get a pc at the start of this week and i started looking for all my whitetail zones 2 days ago and only just started grinding for them on pc 2 days ago i got an albino last night and a piebald this morning just before the great one, id shot an 85-100 buck at that zone last night but it only scored around 230s i think
