I noticed playing layton today that i wasnt getting any respawns, i pretty much deimated my whole whitetail population.. A restart worked and they all respawned!.. This is something i have only noticed since the update but on rancho im getting respawns normally. sometimes they are respawning while i am watching zones. Yesterday i took all 3 bucks from one zone. From the same tripod i can see 4 zones, after taking bucks from the other zone i looked back at the first one and it had respawns!

yeah I just look at kills not diamonds. I dont think theres any proof they spawn off diamonds, so I just figure each buck is a chance. I woulda had 13-16 diamonds roughly at the rate most seem to get them. Around 1/100 1/150 it seems

Agreed Ron, the toxicity is way too high especially for something that doesn't even matter. Like its just a gameplay style if you don't like it then play your way instead. Its not going to affect you if other people want to hunt a certain way or if they disagree with your way of hunting. At the end of the day nobody knows for sure what is the best way and all we can go off of is what has worked best for each of us individually. First thing I spot is a 9 puma, I've been chasing 1 forever, so I got excited. It was fleeing, so I was gonna wait for it to stop, but then this other kid blasts it and didn't hit vitals and messed it up. In anger, I claimed it and took it from him, because I felt it was rightfully mine and then it ended scoring 40 on the dot. Found 3 WT zones that actually have more than 2 bucks per zone, so now I have something to grind from here and there. My short term goal is diamond WT, mid term is a full diamond WT multimount or a rare diamond WT, long term is obviously a GO.
I know I'll need to find more zones but pretty happy to find these 3.

256k is what you need to max out the tents on a map. you'd obviously need more cash as well for tripods and whatnot
so i'd say at least 250-300k initial investment, then buy more stuff as you rack up more whitetail kills

so... After getting 2 great ones and 2 troll bobcats I decided my map was telling me I had to stop hunting bobcats and I spent an evening on whitetail... This morning I started by killing 2-3 outside of my hunting lakes and then started the first run on the eastern Hacienda lake, massacred every male without harvesting as always and then decided I needed a second tent to the west of the lake since I have three zones there I don't even check. Teleported to the other side of the map to get a tent, came back and there it was again, standing on the other side of the lake next to his friends' bodies....
Got them all three on video and even saved the part where no living whitetail was left on that side of the lake before I teleported back 🙂
#3 down and now I can't decide which multimount to use them for lol i like my problems

Moose is a base game species with tru racs and is present on alot of maps, therefore people who havent already bought said maps will be more enclined to buy them. Roe is cool but not enough people hunt them, moose would make more sense for them. They cant do mule deer since it is not a base species and afaik they said GOs will only be for base game species for now and while i can see them doing red deer because they love them so much, i think a great part of the community wouldnt like it since as i said earlier the big rack diamonds are already totally over the top, plus red deer already got super diverse antlers too.

If we had another non typical, I'd want it to be a mule deer or RME for an antlered species. Bighorn sheep for a horned species. A fabled predator would have to show some sort of unique to signify it being a 'GO' like a scar, larger teeth, or just larger mass.

2 troll 3’s today, 2 2’s that scored within a point of diamond, then as I was checking my zones on my last run I found a diamond piebald 😊 No GO respawn unfortunately but I’ll take a super rare any day

QQ: the drink times on racho for WT are 8->11:30 right? when going for zones I set the time between 8:30/8:40 but when I get to the first zones I never see deer there

I feel like only now I'm starting to get the hand of my zones on ranch and have proper setups to actually do it in an efficient way
wasn't expecting the setups to set me back 300k but hopefully it will pay off

I’m about 7k harvests in and no GO. On Xbox so no rancho yet. Hopefully i can get my Layton GO before console release
16 tents plus 16 tripods is like 520k. Expensive but worth it

Yeah, just gotta check those zones before you change maps or turn your game off and you should be fine. I’d be heartbroken if a bug ruined a GO

@zenith laurel I change time at an outpost on the other side of the map, then when I teleport they are there within an in0game minute
but that's since last update. They took quite some time before that

I’ve had that a couple times lately but not too often. If they aren’t there I just fast travel to another zone then come back a few mins later. Sometimes the zone needs to be activated to get the deer to move in

what i've been doing when I log off: go that small lake on the right top corner of the map, reset time to 8:30 than turn the game off

I mean if I change time at a tent at a certain lake, there won't be whitetail there instantly. But if I teleport to the other side of the map, change time, and teleport back, voila - they are there already

yeah thats cuz if ur in render when u change time they wont render into the zone instantly they render in far away

Tents should be 220-250m away from the zones you’re grinding. Ideally not within 200m of their travel path to the zone
