Only 150 kills.

5 potential diamond level 2s was close but didn’t make it.

I've heard that the whitetail pop on Mexico right now is a little buffed. Not sure if this is true or not.

Pretty good day of grinding. Started my Grind, searched the whole east half of layton. Got 10 zones, 1 with only does, but I'll fix that. Shot 47 bucks, and got an albino buck and a diamond mallard. I'd say that's a pretty good start to what hopefully is going to be a successful grind!

but the map started off with like 14-15 max weight bucks there should at least be like 10 on the map at all times

not always as some zones can grow. so you may get bucks or females added to the original sized group. the more you grind and hunt whitetail the more you will learn.

you basically just have to stick at it realize some days are hard or wont yield anything but some days you will get some luck and get good trophies

I've had to reset my rancho pop after 400 or so kills... I had does only on 10 out of the 16 zones i was grinding... 400 kills on layton usually guarantees 4 diamonds.. On rancho i think the biggest estimate in 400 kills was 240 ish ...hopefully it was just a bad pop file...

Not picking up animals firstly feels wrong, but secondly makes the spawns weird for some reason, and not only with whitetail, sometimes animals won’t spawn back because you didn’t pick them up, that’s why lots of people are struggling with animals that aren’t whitetail not respawning

But if somebody knows definitively if it helps or not i'm all ears!

I have been doing some testing with mouflon. Last night I killed 30 mouflon without picking any up. They were all level 3 or smaller. I come back and I gained 10 level 4's and the others just made another small respawn. Killing things without picking up seems to work. Note im on Xbox before the update but it's worth a shot

Thanks! To be honest, i didnt really count how many bucks I killed, but a guesstimate would be about 250 at Rancho. I got him at the furthest big lake to the east (the one that looks like a distorted Australia 😆 )

The reason there are so many great ones is because they aren't broken other than the spawns. we were getting so many broken ones. People are also hunting them more because of GRIM

people were already hunting them anyways also the strategy is the one everyone has used since the great one was first released. not to discredit him as he has killed more whitetail than i know and basically thats all it comes down to kill more you have more chance of getting one. so its basically time and kill as many as possible

some one spends 15 hrs a day huntning whitetail over someone who spends 2 obviously has a better chance

time playing has always been the factor for thehunter games

more you play the better you will get and more trophy animals you will get on avg.

its one of the reasons why in thehunter classic i never took any notice to thehunter scoring system as it wasnt skill based just how many kills. thats doesnt make you better it just means you farmed animals

it will take time to see how rancho really is its too early yet to see if Gos are too common
