I saw it from the side at 300 yards so I didn’t know the antlers were that big 😂. When I picked it up and saw it was a diamond I was freaking out 😂. I was live-streaming too so that makes it even better 😂.

Recap from EW's stream: The point of the beta wasn't Non-Typical Whitetails. It was meant to be the introduction of the new medal being added. "Great One". The "Great One" feature is only available for Whitetails at the moment. This new medal's purpose is to have a chance at spawning an animal (Whitetails, again for now). With something special in the game, which you will not find normally. An example of this could be...Non-Typical racks, a never before seen rare fur variation (Fabled Piebald)...possibly more.

That's the question tho. How do you "cultivate" your map. How do you keep all the animal spawns in high ranges? I thought it was purely rng, meaning you kill a level 2 buck it has a chance at level 1 or 3 on respawn.

I started managing my Caribou population in Yukon and it’s been working cuz now most of them spawn as high 3 or fours. That’s probably I have three caribou diamonds

So I have question about herd management theory. And I've seen it put a few different ways, most of which don't actually suggest that you're not causing bigger ones to spawn, but rather allowing those that HAPPEN to spawn big to live so when smaller ones are taken and replaced with large spawns, the whole map looks like massive trophies because big ones just aren't being taken as regularly
