Fabled piebalds are DIFFERENT to normal ones, so different could be the key word. I can't see how fabled piebalds would make sense unless its cows.

GREAT ONE is a trophy rating. Non-typical truRacks cannot be judged in current truRack-scoring system, because non-typical goes off-limits. Thus, if it cannot be rated within old bronze-diamond-system, it must be "great one" instead.

Potentially, if I remember all the stories I've been told, it's usually animals that just won't die or animals that have just been really freaking skittish their entire lives, give them huge scoring racks

Kind of sounds like that would be a "fabled" creature, right? Something of stories, since it clearly exists in photos an whathave you in lodges? That makes it the great one. Also, it's not an entirely new animal... and something that could spawn RARELY because it's basically a variant of something that already exists, but would appear.. RARELY haha. There are so many variables as to what this could be the entire population of Earth could be looking for it and not find it due to the fact that we have really nothing to go on. It could literally be on any map besides medved. It could require a respawn (similar to diamonds or rares as they don't necessarily start out on the map), only having one of it on the map and depending on how quickly it flees means you could run around the entire map and not see it. It may not even be on the map to begin with so people out just looking for it without killing the specific species required to spawn it won't ever see it

If they gave us all of the criteria it will still probably take a large amount of time. For instance a max diamond melanistic red deer probably hasn't been downed yet.

The other reason for the ambiguity is that they want us to beta test the changes. These changes took place on all of the maps. If they told us which map it was on we would ignore the others completely trying to find this new content.
