Solos are very easy to take down, you kill the solo male and go look for a low level pair and kill the female from there and immediately that pair becomes solo

Flinter made a pretty solid guide on it for the island method especially swapping its a little confusing at first but your best case scenario is swapping out that solo

I only have 1 pair that lives on the exterior coast and that pair was originally there from the start of the grind, not a bouncer pair. And it's very low levels so I didnt really want to shoot them. I mean, I could and see if I get an extra pair on the island but if not, I have missing pair on the mainland most likely at much higher respawn levels
