For me, the standard wolf pack size was 5. If it got 6, that was a cap for me. If you get 6 and it stays for a while, it probably is a sign that he doesnt have any nearby zones he's coded to bounce to or they are all already mostly occupied. Only thing I can think of

That an I personally think where you shoot animals doesn’t mean they’re always going to respawn where you shoot them at they will bounce around your mains or bounce out. (Hence bouncers) I think the respawns fit where there’s room an play musical chairs an why some males get stuck in the respawn timer an other various reasons

Hence why some mains gets extra males:ex whitetail
