Ok back. So every time you set up a grind, your map will develop a certain set of "rules". Those rules seem to be pretty universal but I have seen them vary for some people. This may be a result of their herds getting messed up because they didn't find all of their zones, etc. Not sure if it can vary by map but I don't think so. So for me personally, WT on Rev have a preferred and standard herd size of 5 deer. If I get a zone with 6 deer, that's a hopper/jumper/bouncer coming into that herd. My WT zones of Rev will never go above 6 once they get at or below that level. So as an example, if I manage to get a zone with 6 deer and all males are level 1 or below, that is a zone that I will never ever, ever have to check or touch again. It's a locked out zone.

The more zones I can lock out like that, the less overall map I have to worry about which makes any of my grinds easier when I can minimize the amoutn of zones I need to tend to

Another example of locked out zones for me is boar on Cuatro. For me, my map rules were zones would either lock out at 6 total boar, or 3 male limit. Could not have a zone more than 3 males in. So if I had a zone that had 2 females, and 3 level 1 males, that would be a locked out zone that never needs to be touched again. 4 females and 2 males would be another example of a locked out zone

Yes. So long as you find all your zones FIRST, prior to shooting, id make a very strong bet you should follow my same map rules
