It was a process. WT was one of my first grinds a year ago. I just wanted a G1 so I started to semi herd manage just leaving small 2s and below. WT became my fav and I wanted a SR so I started to be more meticulous. Made the decision to get rid of even small 2s and make all exterior level 1. If I knew what I know today, I could probably replicate what I did in just a couple weeks. My map now is entirely filled with level 1s, 5 super small level 2s, and I have 20 deer that are my shooters

a have 8 deer in herd and now i have 5, another one where i have 10 deer there is 8

WT zones prefer a herd size of 5. So if you find an initial zone of let's say 7, thats an oversized herd and when you shoot bucks, it's gonna settle down to 5. Anything over that will space out to smaller herds. With hoppers, WT herds can get back up to 6 but thats where they lock out 99.9% of the time. Speaking to how my map works on Revontuli

Thats very interesting. I feel like one of the possible things that makes this happen is you may have a lot of oversized herds not shot and/or possible undiscovered zones. If you have males bunched up in a few herds, the game has to change it standard set of rules since there are only so many males and only so many places to put them
