thanks man, if you're going to grind for fox, do it on salz, it's much easier, you don't get 10 foxes in an area like scotland and there are also quite a few males and it's very easy to do hm

Find solo females inside the 6 lakes an then on your exteriors find bigger pairs to use for your swaps until all the solos are out an you got nothing but pairs in those 6 lakes

I use roughly between 8-12 pairs for mine

Because your throwing 3 different animals into the respawn pool so you have to wait a little time to make such nothing is held while swapping them out

So leaving 10-15 between doing the next initial swap per say gives the game time for the respawn to come back an be held there for the pair to be able to respawn

Nah I have 2 fox from the island method. Its not bad. Just a little less efficient. I was killing 24 males per hour but they were 99.99% bound to the island. No risk of figuring out where that G1 spawned

Exactly what I mean it’s extremely inconsistent,your kph sucks an the efficiency of the grind isn’t there at all not including the pairs not staying to the island long enough to get enough put down to make it worth a damn

When u think about it 24 an hour isn’t all that great ik standard kph is roughly 30 ish but again that’s not all that great or enough to say your making a difference or getting anywhere plus the population is extremely small so hm isn’t all that greatly processing with it on top it

An getting them to stay on the island an not go beyond that also is another thing

I feel there may be a little too much emphasis put on the potential hm aspect of maps. I see people's dime rate on boar on Scotland and its very on par with people's hm from Cuatro, sometimes even better and only took a fraction of the time. Whatever floats someones boat tho

some maps will take more effort to get to a certain point than others

This is true to a degree but the thing is with some maps like cautro if someone got all 1s instead of mostly twos they’d have a better rate than torr. At a certain point in torr you’d end up with not enough shootables to get good kills

Like Parque you can get a 1/10 with 50/50 1s and 2s for mule deer while you can usually barely get a 1/15 on askiy for mule deer

Also people just don’t put in the effort to get those cracked rates they’d take thousands of kills 😭

I agree with that, but the return on time just isn't worth it ti get a 1/8 dime rate vs a 1/12. Getting 1s on Cuatro is one of the most challenging things I've tried to do in this game. Had 20 lvls 5s stacked twice in an effort ti get 1s. Stacked 4 times in total. Even had a G1 and 10+ 5s. It was pulling teeth to get level 1s

I meannnnnn return on time if you are doing it for something like mule deer where you plan on getting 10+ g1s and hopefully a super or two it’s worth it imo. Just depends on what you love and want from the game

An that’s why the higher-mid size pop maps produce so well because of the animal ratio people just think oh small population means easier less to do an it will work better which isn’t the case

You will put more effort an time into hm a small population map trying to get good results as u will on a big population map which more animals an mid hm because of the balance ratio that’s set into that maps programming

But a lot people don’t realize that because they just want to easy way out on it an think smaller the population the less work you got to do

But in saying that a map with a smaller population will never come anywhere close to a map with a bigger population hm wise an be able to keep that same consistency an hold hm as good as a bigger pop map

Thats eventually what I worked down towards. The 1st feedback from the community was any level 2s and that just wasn't good advice

I now have all level 2s under 60 max score and 30 level 1s and the dime rate is....ok

i didnt go min weight 2s as they didnt spawn. my dime rate fluctuated a lot between my last 4 grinds but id say the average would sit on around 1/20, give or take. that is with all 2s and a few 1s and low weight 2s

But here’s how I would do it

1,start setting your mains zones up on the 6 lakes an then once everything is swapped do a rotation on them make sure there all good an stay in the 6 lakes

2,I would work from the outside the map/shooting down solos or even just starting with solos in general

3, I would then shoot down exterior pairs from outside/border of the map getting everything filled in out there an hm down so it pushes where they respawn into a smaller range as much as possible now u can get some 8s or 9s stacked before doing this but hm is always easier at the start more so the end

These are some key things I would do while starting out an wanting to start to hm the map

An I would also try to get as many pairs on those 6 lakes as possible with no solos

if g1 spawn is purely rng, every male kill is an independent roll to spawn a g1, so killing 5 moose anywhere is just it, killing 5 moose.

If you believe in hm then killing 5 moose on layton is different than killing 5 moose in taiga because you have different hm levels per map.
