We don't have data-based confirmation that it does help spawn them but those who are invested in the grind often do anyways cause of the other stuff they can get by doing HM.

Yeah, I did my first G1 Whitetail grind about a month after they initially came out and didn't even know that HM was a thing. I got around 3500 kills and stopped because I got bored. Flash forward a few years and I started one on Revontuli with HM and got one in 750 kills

The problem is no one (hardly anyone) grinds multiple G1s in a row to assess how effective HM is/was. They get their G1 and they move on. I would never asses my dime rate after 1 diamond and I would never say hm helped or didnt help after the 1st one. Same with G1s. But I've recently started going after multiple (10+ same map) and you start to see the effects of super effective herd management

I can consistently pump out wolves and WT every 400-500 kills at this point

I hunt usually 10 different main zones. Make sure you have found all of your exterior zones first before you start rotating because I have noticed that males will bounce to zones you have yet to discover occasionally. After you have low level deer in your external zones. You are good to only shoot your main 10. I personally hunt between 10 and 12 depending on if I am giving animals sufficient time to respawn.
