To grind feral goats on Te Awaroa :

1. Find all your zones (if you want)

2. Keep goats alive if :
   they have a top estimate of 140 or under
   they have a bottom estimate of 157 or over (aka guaranteed golds)

3. When you get to around 20-25 goats in each category, shoot any goat over 140 top estimate

Took me about 90 kills to manage my goat population this new save

There are approximately 70-75 male feral goats on Te Awaroa

No, if you only kill a few female wolves by accident it shouldn’t cause any problems. Males and Females seem to spawn completely independently of each other into the same packs, so you should be good.

Sometimes it just takes a while for wolves to respawn into their zones. I’ve had that happen a few times where wolves just don’t appear for a few runs. It could also just be that the wolves come into their zones a little later than normal so you may just have to hunt them a little later than normal now.
