they're just completely broken for me

tried literally everything I've been told works for troubleshooting and I'm at a loss

the way I did it back in the day was just pick 16 zones and grind the living hell out of them
then no grind came along and I tripled in efficiency cuz I wasn't claiming anything
then the 8 shoot 8 claim strat came out and I didn't really lose any efficiency but I was gaining crazy money
now it's kinda weird cuz you can't just use 8 zones and still get consistent respawns as they now take like 1 in game hour to come back

pretty much now the way you do it is 4-6 zones with claim tents (depends on if you have any double setups)
and 6-8 that you just run to claim
ends up coming out to about 90 minutes (in game) per run and 20-25 kills

Here's the simple way that works just as well.

1. Find Zones 2. Set tents and tripods. 3. Grind them as much as you can getting as many kills. I use all 15 tents and leave one available to drop whenever. I get about 100 kills or more per IRL hour for mulie and fallow

Then I adjust accordingly. No HM, just tons of kills

Find your zones on your chosen map set up tents and tripods(or duck blinds) 180 meters at minimum away from the zone and shoot all the male animals in the zone and just repeat the process until you get a g1

For anyone with herds at bad lakes i would recommend deleting zones at the lakes you don't want herds at. Just keep deleting the zone till they move to a lake you like. Its super easy to re find the zone on askiy since mule deer have a pretty low amount of lakes they can be at. I did this and ive got 2-3 herds at my favorite lakes now

I got a Question : If I just hunt normal on the maps , ( shooting all the 3´s and up and leaving the 1 and 2s be ) -will the great one of the species show up one day , or is grinding for one species an absolute must ?

Has anyone tried going for a G1 for the other species since the update? With how "common" these Muleys seem to be, I had a thought that perhaps they changed something with the overall G1 system

The Muleys arnt exactly common there’s just a lot of people grinding them

It’s not a must. Nothing would prevent a GO from spawning if you aren’t “grinding”. People grind because every harvest gives you a chance at spawning a GO.

yeah you can get a GO from shooting a minimum weight animal, people just think hm gives them a shorter grind

I'm not entirely sold on it shortening things up, I think EW changed something with the spawn rates right around when people started HMing like crazy and people associated the two

i do shoot some of the decent males that have a GO but it's just such an unlikely thing. but people do get 30, 50, 100 kill grinds so its just really up to rng
