For now I'd say just focus on leveling up, shooting any animal you see, and practice your shooting too

Grinding as a beginner is way too difficult, and will just make you resent the game

And get used to the game yea

Also

If you are gonna start a grind, wether it be now or in the future, do something simpler like Fallow or Bear, Fox is probably the hardest g1 in the game

Also don't shoot females if you want to grind later as it can ruin the grinds for Deers species. Predators and bunnys and birds are fine just not deer.

Floaters are not that bad. If you see a floater, teleport somewhere far, far enough to get the floater out of render. When you teleport to your recovery tent the floaters direction is changed for some reason to where you teleported. Works like a charm for me everytime.

I’m confused how exactly does hunting pressure and dead zones work

Basically

Hunting pressure appears where the animal was shot at, not where it died

You can shoot up to 3 animals at once before the hunting pressure turns into a dead zone, the 4th kill turns it intona dead zone. You can shoot 15 in a hunting structure, the 16th kill turns it into a dead zone

When an area is a dead zone, animals will avoid the area, and any zones inside of the zone will be deleted and moved somewhere else

The only way to remove hunting pressure is to shoot something else at another location on the map, it will not leave on its own
