To be honest depending on the zone I shoot only 1 because whatever they done moose isn’t the same as before when u were able to shoot 2 per zone so I would set up on 2 male 1 female or 2 female 1 male zones only shooting 1 per zone

But I will say I do have a lot of 2 male 2 female that when I do shoot both they respawn back everytime

So I would just pick 10-12 spots an shoot just 1 male it’s slow but saves the inconsistency an having the chance of them bouncing or leaving the herd

That can happen. I’ve had that happen to mine (eventually it went back to “normal”) and seen it happen to others. Sometimes it’s not anything wrong with your HM. Could be your game is just trying to pop out something bigger, too. Seen that happen quite a bit.

I’d check those and the lakes around the mains first and usually the bears were there
