I shot those solos and they never returned back as solos. At 1st I thought that could have been a good thing but after a while I wound up recounting my pairs on the island and only had 6 pairs.

At the start of my grind, I had 6 pairs and 3 solos. I swapped those 3 solos out for pairs and had 9 confirmed pairs on the island.

I have since completely lost those 3 swapped solos and am now back to the original 6 pairs I started with and now have zero solos.

Seems like they've solos I swapped to pairs reverted back to solos after multiple, multiple rotations and have now jumped the island completely. I've consistently only had the 6 pairs for days now.

Grinding 6 pairs works.....but it was obviously better with 9. Thought you guys would find that interesting

the only way they could have went pack to solos is if you only shot 1 out of the pair or you shot solos somewhere else in the map and they swapped

Gotcha. And you know you were able to keep 8 pairs because you would pause in shooting to recount all your zones after a couple hundred kills? Or it just felt like 8 pairs were sticking around? Pausing all shooting and recounting would be the only way to know for sure.

My theory is that whatever pairs you start with are bound to the island but you can run the risk of losing your solos and/or swapped in pairs....

I wouldn’t say secret but my best tip is to find the best zones in each areas of your map and stick with those I have areas I hunt 4-7 time frame because all my zones in that area are in the open at that time, 2-3 zones I hunt right after at 7-11 and I start my rotation in an area they are in the open at night from 12-4, it’s really about learning your map and herds

They seem to bounce a lot, idk if it’s when I killed 3 males but they would move often to another zone close

And I HM them like any other species, I try and make all the males lvl 2’s except my shooter zones i keep 2 I can kill so in my herds of 4-6 males I often have 2-4 lvl 2’s in those

if ur new every map have around like 4-5 initial spawn rare and diamonds, if you check drink zones for all your animals on all maps you will build a nice looking lodge fast

no need to even shoot but you can, just running around you will find tons of trophies
