To swap a solo for pairs:
when you swap pairs you have to shoot one of the two and claim it per normal. That will force it into the respawn purgatory. Do not shoot the other yet.
Give it some time (basically do a normal run)
Come back to the pair and shoot the other, do not claim.
Go to your solo female, shoot and don't claim.
Main menu
Come back and reset time and do a run or two to see the results, may have to be done again

Yea but you have to shoot at least 10-13 moose per rotation for them to respawn
