You might have to go around the shoot the solo females left from pairs and fully hm both of the pairs down fully. That’s the only thing I can think to prevent that

I would’ve assumed it would be due to pair management but if you completely reversed that for full hm then I would think that your island would spawn as expected. I have no idea why foxes are like this T-T

The only thing I could possibly think of is that because the map is smaller with a smaller population is what could be messing with it.

Welp I’ve given up for the night. Got a headache and honestly these things are driving me nuts. I’m not worried about things being completely perfect, but I just simply don’t understand how I go from a run with two diamonds and two lvl 8s, or a run with mythicals in 3 back to back zones, to run after run where they’re mostly 5s, often 5-8kg ones with nothing bigger than a 6 or small 7 if I’m lucky

It just feels so incredibly inconsistent

And I don’t understand why

I know one of my friends had 2 level ones spawn on their island today and has no idea why

I can’t decide whether to try pair manage these things again and see if it helps?

It’s just like one day these guys stopped with the diamonds and I’m not gonna grind them forever if they’re this inconsistent

Well not hm for me, but same for what i get

I do 5 and below for females and 4 and below for males. So if I see a pair outside the island where one is bigger then the other then I’ll shoot the whole pair and check them next rotation to see if they went up or down . But if both of the pair are below what I want them to be managed to I’ll leave them and move on. Same for solos I’ll shoot them till there as small as can be below and move on. Always check for floaters I’ve found 2, 9 legendary just wandering the map while cleaning my exteriors

The reason we suspect females play a role is because they seem to share the same trophy pool in their species as males do based on size. It’s not like antlered species where the females can’t score at all. Female foxes can score so it makes sense that they would share the trophy pool since they’re scored the exact same way.

For full hm you’d manage down both foxes in a pair rather than pair management.

It’s entirley up to you how you want to grind, however if you’re going to fully hm I do reocmmend a different map.

Mel was having the same issues even with salz fully hm’d. Hence why I believe it’s an issue of the small population. It may not be far fetched to guess that there’s a form of queue for foxes spawning because of the lower population that causes these issues to be so rampant
