Sorry for the long message in advance and I do not use mods. Alright so since the spring I have kept every great one I have had to kinda like see how many I could get on my maps fist off I spawned a g1 fallow 501 kills then a red deer 1k something kills and a whitetail witch we’re both in the same day the whitetail took me 3580 kills then I got a sr fallow and hopped off the game for the summer and just returned about a month ago. Then went after a bear with no success and helped my buddie get one bec he just had better rng and last Monday I had spawned my second red deer in the same zone he was a mid rack like the first. Just yesterday I spawned a mocha saw blade fallow and kept him and today I went on to shoot them all off and I just did this I started off with a failed Texas heart shot with the crossbow still got g1 on it tho bec I hit neck. Then went to shoot the mocha fallow and he was in the same zone that the sr would have been in if I kept him but I didn’t and I shot him off with the 243 handgun. So I shot the g1 with the 450 got him down then went to change the time to go to the red deer zone witch is where I am sitting now just starring in amazement and this is the zone with the 2 great one reds in it it is the big zone in the dry spot near the middle of the map on the river and I have 6 males here that I have been grinding 2 after spawning the great one I spawn in and see my two and zoom out to see what my respawns were and I saw a THIRD three great ones in the same zone he goes up to 270 and looks way different from the other how wild is that THREE GREAT ONE RED DEER IN THE SAME ZONE and so yea ain’t that wild ima shoot these off gimme some gun recommendations and I will put the videos on my YouTube @Thegolfkid1

hello! im starting my first ever great one grind (fallow). does a drink zone count as a zone that has a symbol on the map or a zone that leaves footprints? for example i have a solo zone that doesnt have a drink icon. does that count as a drink zone or not?

If you kill the solo they will bounce to a new zone either on their own or maybe into another and it would be the same thing of sharing

I can’t say for certain tbh as I don’t specialize in fallow grinds tbh.

I believe that most people will take the time to shoot them down for hm so they’re not having to be bothered with.

That being said if you do shoot them whether as your grind or for hm you will have to spend time looking for them either way /gen

I mean generally if you’re wanting to shoot down both herds then you would do so normally. Otherwise you may have to wait until your lucky enough to catch one herd at the zone before the others arrive

Now if they’re apart of your main zone selection then you don’t have to worry about shooting them down any

• kill the solo female, do not claim
• Find and kill a solo male in an exterior zone, do not claim
• Main Menu
• Return to game and check around your preferred zones to see if you have an extra male or if the female returned.
  May have it be checked a couple of times, if female repeat the process.

To swap a solo for pairs:

• when you swap pairs you have to shoot one of the two and claim it per normal. That will force it into the respawn purgatory. Do not shoot the other yet.
• Give it some time (basically do a normal run)
• Come back to the pair and shoot the other, do not claim.
• Go to your solo female, shoot and don't claim.
• Main menu
• Come back and reset time and do a run or two to see the results, may have to be done again

Ran my map last night in some areas I hadn’t checked before bc I didn’t know they could be there, mainly that left central area left of the upper swamp. Found two level 7 males and a level 8 that I was unaware of. Got them shot down and finally got my last solo female switched off the island. 263 males into the grind now, 1 diamond.

Yea they tend to drink most of the map, but thankfully the map is smaller. I had a ton of large males on my river that I had to shoot but since then I was seeing large foxes a ton more

You don’t need to but it’s recommended incase you run into a common respawn issue

A lot of people experience issues where foxes slowly seem to stop respawning. The fix for this is pair management which is done on the right side

It is, but because the map is smaller it’s actually less zones than the others 😄

No you would grind it per normal if it’s your main zone.

The solo male will bounce out once killed. You’ll want to eventually find him after he bounces if he doesn’t happen to stick close by.

Basically the reason solos are typically shot down is because they’re a pain due to the bouncing. They won’t mess up your grind just make it harder if you grind them constantly.

Everyone does it a bit differently. I’ve not done a lot of grinding for other species so I’m rusty with it.

I would personally focus on shooting down solos first as they’ll be the hardest ones to do overall. Meaning like only shoot the solos, find them and continue until they’re managed down.

Of course thats just what I would do but I don’t have the experience with the fallow grind as many others do.

You can! That’s actually the main purpose of stacking Diamond potential deer. You stack diamonds in order to help speed up the process of managing down your exteriors.

Solos will never become pairs, they will always be solos and even when they share a zone with another they’ll still be solo 🙂

We reocmmend swapping solo females for either solo males or pairs

To swap solos:

Either at lvl 3, lvl 5 or lvl 9

Animals that max out at lvl 3 or 5 also have the possibility of making diamond one level under max depending on species

The crocs are by far the easiest money. Just use .338 and aim for the neck or between the eyes if you can line that up

although it's a bit harder since they fly immediately after fast traveling to tent if it's right on the zone

I have my Moose very HMed, takes a lot of time, but then the big dimes, rares and sometimes a great one spawns, though I would recommend Medved or Layton, Layton is good cause Moose aren't everywhere, like most other maps
